I did another test filght with X-LIFE plugin. Also I used GndHandling and FM plugins.
No CTD.
Please looking only x-life plugin as test (not my flight, he,he).

Here is my suggestion and report bugs:

- ATC window (active ATC should be coloured (GREEN))
- AI Ground traffic seems aviod colision when Transponder and TCAS is ON , What happen If TCAS is OFF ?(After vacated Ground asked us to turn off-possible collision).
- ATC APPROCH should switch us to CENTER ATC after passing FL (140 - depend of local rules)
- When flight end, no contect ATC to disconnect (say goodbay, or other like any information (local time, weather ...)
- X-life seems only recognoize ILS (VECTOR, NDB, VOR...I know this will be maybe in future).
- I cannot remember...see my video test.

Using Beta 8, X-Life and the route EGLL/EDDM the flight plan was in the Flight-Plan folder and was generated by an on-line flight-planner.
then it was imported to the X-Life Flight Plan widget from there the X-Life plugin took over the details of the Flight Plan and all went as to be expected.
here is the bbox.txt and the log.txt for data to be use to compare the good with the CTD's
this is a must if the issues are to be resolved .
I also included the screen JPG's of the rendering setting i use on the iMac 27" .

I used your YouTube video to start making the atc routes. I don't know why, in my routes the aircrafts don't make the backtrack correctly, even if I created the route to it. iss it possible to you to verify with one of my files ? Madeira Island is one the airports that they didn't do that. If you need I'll send to you the wed xml file.

I think I have been using this X-Life since Beta1 Public or what ever the first version was and have used with the XP 10.45 both r1 and r2 and the Beta 8 and the 10.45r2.  and I am using 10.10.5 OS X So then, you ask a question you should complete you thoughts so I can give you a good answer with-in this one post and in a timely manner.

Thereby, there is a flow to the conversation. you might think I am being mean but in fact I am busy testing, and trying to answer as many question not only for X-Plane and JAR but as an Apple developer I have many other people I talk to in a day I try to help many people and give detailed information so, the person gets the most out of the post.

Therefore, what do you want to know yes, it does work you must follow instructions or you will get a CTD once in a while because, this is still Beta software.

As a result, the work takes testing the full flight un-like other plugins where you can test just part of a flight and know wether or not if the plugin works. 

Please ask any questions you need I do like to answer them I just want you to think of what you want to ask and then post so we have good communication.

Right now I am testing a route from the KLAX/KPDX which is two airports that were designed and then implemented into X-Life and the FollowMeCar plugins.

Since, I added the txt and the dat files into the FMC and the X-Life plugin Airport Files and all worked.

Note #2 set the //* X-Life settings panel / selected aircraft to #75 and press the select,  I run between 45 and 75 on this setting.
and it is one of the first settings I make after starting the X-Life plugin.

Yet, I still got an error message that the airport was not on the google map list and it might not work right. So, you have to look past the error message and work through it and you will be pleasantly surprised by a well populated airport if you make the right settings, more data to come after the flight.

the flight plan was good but the ATC widget did not git the data right and only had the departing airport and not the arrival airport therefore, the TOD did not work but there was not CTD so, here is the data ; bbox.txt and log.txt along with some screen shots of the error messages I received.

#3 screen shot is of the ATIS data and where the data only displays the departing airport this is why the route did not work it only shows KLAX when it needed to also display KPDX so I ran the simulation until the TOD to see if it would work out but it did not I will now close down the simulator and re-start it and try the same route.

#4 screen shot shows the message at the TOD where I was given the Data for KLAX and not KPDX . so this should give a complete picture of the scenario.

I have rolled back from 10.45r2 to XP 10.45r1 and now the X-Life is not acting up but I still have to test at KLAX since, I am now working backwards from KPDX to KLAX and see what happens.
