Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Hi !

Here is a nice little "bug", maybe a settings problem :-)

I'm just playing around with the WED editor to get the "Dortmund EDLW" airport ready for x-life.

In principle no problem, I added all the ATC lines and nodes, removed static traffic and it is working
quite fine now :-) Planes are able to start, land and find their parking positions, waitpoints...

Well, if there was no A380 auto-generated....

The runway is too short for an A380 to take off. So the result is that the A380 makes a REALLY FULL STOP
(looks like he has an anchor to do that) at the end of the runway, and now turns full left and full right all the times.
(like an "8")

Looks like he is not able to leave the runway. I even don't know if he WANTS to leave the runway...

The result is: The A380 blocks the runway and stops all the traffic....

It's turning now about 40 minutes, I think it won't free the runway.

What happens if the runway is too short for takeoff ??

The status is "Taxi now"

best regards,

best regards,

in this case you may check gates via gate editor and exclude category F gates/stands

this should work well

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Hi !

Ok, I will check the scenery / gates.

But I did not really get you. Where is the exact problem ?

1) Gate error, the plane could not return to gate it comes from (but why ? Planes which landed before
took the ATC line and there was no problem going to the gate / leaving the runway)

2) ATC route error, no route to the gate (hmmm, all gates are connected, VALIDATE -> no error, landing planes used
     this before)

3) Gate error, the plane should not appear / should not be generated at this airport ?

It really looks like the plane:
    1) reaches end of runway before takeoff speed (status: taxiing)
    2) stopps, turns back (180deg) to go to the runway again (status: taxiing)
    3) turns back to set takeoff direction (status: taxiing)
    4) tries a takeoff, but with only some meters runway left (status: taxiing)
    5) goto 1)

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Hi !

I know what the problem is....

The airport is valid for planes <= 100 tons takeoff weight, so I have to change that :-)

==>    OK, changed and working :-)

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Good day,
Here is a CTD from a //*1:12:57.624 E/NET: Download failed with error: 6 for URL http://aviationweather.gov/products/nws … amp;lvl=lo
1:13:12.021 E/NET: Download failed with error: 6 for URL http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/observ … 16Z.TXT///

So the attachments give the data needed to de-bug the issue.

This is  an issues that I most likely caused when down loading the weather and then unchecking the box on the real weather page and then re-checking it, anyway it is most likely operator Error.

Oh, and the route is EHAM/LOWW

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Hi !

And again: CTD

--=={This application has crashed because of the plugin: X-Life}==--

There is nothing more in the log, because I did nothing :-)

I just started xplane, took the a320neo, airport EDLW, free camera to a good position to watch, and that's it.

After 1,5 hours, CTD.

best regards.

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Good day,
Here is the same route the flight went very well until I was pulling up to the gate to park and then CTD the data to follow...

Note #2
EHAM/LOWW  the route was from the onlineflightplanner.org and there was issues with the aircraft holding the Flight plan after the TOD was changed by ATC.

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Hi !

Airport not x-life compatible ??

I've completed adding taxiroutes to EDNY, and it looks like it is very well working with x-life.
I can switch x-life traffic on, I can see planes leaving gates, go to runways, takeoff,
other planes landing, going to the gates.

I also can use the FMCar, the map is shown and the FMCar takes correct routes.

But if I try to generate a flight plan, say EDNY to EDDL, I got the message
"departure airport not x-life compatible".

Why ?? There is no hint in the logfiles...

best regards,

Re: X-Life public beta-5 090216 (Win & Mac)

Need add EDNY.dat to /X-Life/Airports/ folder

EDNY.dat is just renamed apt.dat
