Hi Windsocks, I received an update for my TBM900, and wanted to take the plane on a test flight and did not expect to hear Copilot greeting me when I looked to the righthand side. Copilot was not visible in the cockpit, but he was responding to me as if I was in the A320.

It seems Copilot is active for any plane within x-plane

I want to mention one thing, in addition, to exclude errors on my side: I tested my audio equipment with pages (a text editor which supports the dictate) and everything went alright. I could read my spoken words on the page. As you can see the language parameter is English.

Hi Evgeny,

I apologize for my post on Facebook. There seems to be a communications and understandings gap between us.

I have not heard anything more about the application for the beta on this project so I am not sure what to do but wait for your official response.

In the interim, it seems that my issue with the visible debugging info of the speech system was related to my over excitement and downloading the early version of the co pilot. Having downloaded the current zip file I can see the text is
gone now.

I will post here if I have further input to give

Test flight EGGP to EGSH XP 11.30final, A320 rc2, iMac27. Astonishing enough but Co-pilot in A330 is working much better.
1. Speech recognition: I have often to repeat advices
2. Some advises are missing or not executed like "Gear up"
3. Announcements that were before the co-pilot version disappeared or not executed by co-pilot

On the other hand the procedures and checklists are working very well. Aircraft is reacting over to strong winds. I could barely execute a crab landing at 34kt head winds...

I enjoy the plane and the copilot tremendously, especially because of the animations, well done guys!!

This is what I experienced in my last flight, including some ideas.

1. During the decent I initiated the "APPROUCH CHECKLIST" all went well until "Baro Check" "Answer:  SET"
    I answered "SET" and it was received correct by speech, but the checklist failed to continue. I tried to restart or cancel the    checklist, but was unable to do so. As a backup function can you perhaps look at a click spot on the word like "SET" so that you can continue the list incase of such problems.

2. Gear up, or landing gear up did not respond, I waited and eventually done it manually.

3. Copilot does not switch "on" the radio of the pilot, not sure if this is maybe the pilot's own responsibility.

4. Can Copilot only do "standard Baro" 1013/29.92 or can we also get it to do the actual departure and destination airport baro as from x-life, active sky or x-plane.

5. Can Copilot set the initial altitude and squawk code received from x-life

Hi

After having updated A320 I tried a few flights with ILS approach and landing everything went fine .
Only one comment : Copilot should press also "APPR" knob , not only "LS" knob …

I also tried flights with RNAV approach and landing  … and for all flights copilot has activated "LS" knob … He should have activated only "APPR" knob . With RNAV approach and landing only satellites (GPS) are used so "LS" is useless .

The same comment has already been done for A330 copilot . By the way what has been Linda answer (and the one of the developer) about this comment ?   smile

Would it be possible to move the APU Start to the end of Cockpit Preparation (just before Before Start Checklist)? Most airports require this for environmental reasons, even though it is not so in the FCOM.

Following your instructions I downloaded last(?) files for copilot and I found a change (no more text on the left hand side of the screen) so I considered I was using last version .
If I made again that comment that because I did not notice a change about that topic …
You mentioned it is fixed   so I trust you   …  But clearly tell us what have we to update for such a result .

PS: the text of a new file to be downloaded appears with blue color , once downloaded in a pink color .
For me "http://jardesign.org/a320/download/copi … PL-320.zip" has never been back to blue when updated .

Did some test flights with copilot. In the main it works very well, understanding my instructions approx 95 %.
Because sometimes happens, that I misunderstood, it would be good if I could be the wrong command cancelled.
In before TAKE OFF PROCEDURES I miss TURN ATC from "STBY" to "ON".
Are the AFTER LANDING PROCEDURES could be done automatic by copilot when I leave the runway ?

My setup: Windows 10 (64-bit), Z490 AORUS PRO AX, INTEL i7 10700k, 32GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 2070S 8GB

I was using my A320 for the first time after I upgraded to the copilot version. After I took Off the copilot stop doing the procedures saying that I need to register my copy. Is it a payware? I inserted my A320 key as per your instructions before I started this flight and I don't have a key for this plugin. I thought it was free like the A330 one.

I did a few tests, and I am going to do a lot more but I have to say

the Co-Pilot makes the JAR A320 and the JARA330 the MOST ATTRACTIVE Airbus aircraft for X-Plane. You ca now focus on actually flying rather than doing things you are not supposed to do as the PF

I miss the completeness of first officer call-outs as in previous A320s.  I would also like to see a list of verbal commands to which Sandy will respond.  I think the new first officer concept has a great future, but I feel like I have a long way to go to realize its potential.

You can stop the command 'Abort'.

Hi! The plugin is still in beta, in the future it will be paid. To get the key for the beta, contact the Skype developer.

OK thanks. Abort command works excelent.

What do you think about including TURN ATC from "STBY" to "ON". Now pilot must do by himself if he want get takeoff aprowed when fly with X-life.

I made a modification to the ADIRS procedure in the Cockpit Preparation:
It now waits for the ADIRS to go "Off battery" before turning the next one on. I also changed the sequence so that IR2 is turn on second, even though it is located on the far right and IR3 (in the middle) is turned on last. Lastly, I added the SYS and DATA knobs to be turned to the correct position and the ENT button to be pressed as per procedure.
@WindSocks, it would be great to have position (pos:) values for the two knobs and the button

I also want to express my huge appreciation for what you guys have achieved!

Hello would like to add my experience an point out few things.
I'm on Mac 11.30r3.
Besides others things already pointed out here I've found these.
Copilot does not turn on Navaids neither press ent key on Before start up procedure.
Also Copilot does not turn on wings lights.

This version of A320 version for me it gives problems in scrolling navpoints (remain always where it is and so manual scroll, while in A330 deletes them the sooner passed) , and weather since radar it only woking after a manual force to worst conditions and later come back to real downloaded conditions).


The rest as A330 one is an incredibile and realistic way to use a flight sim.

A question:

After "aborting" the co-pilot, how does one "resume" him? I aborted because of an issue and could not get started again with procedures. Checklists work, the input is correctly recognized but the co-pilot does not resume activity.
