Back to Europe - Test flight GCRR - LEGE A320neo/A330 stable version, XL last beta version on iMAC27 Mavericks

No crash

GCRR traffic and FM functioning well. It is the best taxi ways signposted scenery I ever saw. Clear to read and big enough to see and consequently easy to navigate to terminal and RWY.

I flew first to LEMG but I got en route error massage and beside the RWY there was nothing else. I am in contact with the developer to solve this problem

LEGE is also a very nice scenery with a lot of traffic, but unfortunately FM car didn't appear also not on map, so I went lost on taxi ways at night while other AI aircraft coming on toward me.....

LFMN design need urgent to be recreated. The following images are telling the story... and there are more bugs...

Generally seen routes created by XL "Flight Plan" are sometimes correlating with "Online Flight Planner" and with "SimBrief.com". In other cases I have made myself a route .txt file, place it in the "flightPlan folder" of XL and transfer it into FMC and ATC. Otherwise I have to made a lot of route SID and STAR changes on FMC.....

Looking at the development of XL until now I must say that with any further flight I am totally thrilled by XL air and taxi traffic.
With XL ATC and the checklists of the A320neo I am fully busy and have the feeling of being in a real cockpit.
Flying the A330 I strongly wish the same checklist system as in A320 model. (Display is already there but voice check announcements are missing)

Hello pilots! Was busy last week - mostly work with LR (check 10.50 prebeta and beta 1 for bugs) and code a lot with C++ to improve airbus systems. Sorry is no answer was. Just read forum now.

I have installed v1.1r2 but I still do not get any opportunity to select an arrival or departure runway. Further X-Life is directing me to a runway that is not suitable given the ATIS for my arrival. In my last case the ATIS reported wind of 230/9 which would require runway 23 but I was vectored to Runway 05 and no option was displayed to request a runway change.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, perhaps you could advise what tests are made in the code to decide whether to show the optional runway selections or not. That may guide me as to what I am doing wrong.

Just upload new distributive 1.1r3

The main reason - fix wrong takeoff/landing ATC selection for user aircraft. Also - some kind of CTD fixed. Thanks for your reports and .dmp files.

Using XL v. 1.1r2, I continued my test flights to the east Mediterranean, flying from LBWN Varna to LTFE Bodrum and from there to LTFJ Ankara. I used to fly with the A330.

X-Life is functioning well but with only 4 AI aircrafts on taxi ways. Maybe I have to change parameters, but I don't won't to adjust to max. ATC is also working good, but as we discussed here in the near past, it needs more development steps. I am not going now to tell JAR what is my wish. He has its own schedule.

Main problem seems for me to be some airport design. If XL is for now restricted to a certain number of airport sceneries, I think that they must be on an appropriate level.
Unfortunately this is not always the case. All three airport sceneries in my test flights were not accurate made. I don't want to get now in detail, but AI aircraft on runway during landing, wrong taxi ways or buildings without a roof, are occurrences that shouldn't happen. I would like to recommend JAR to take a closer look at the XL airport sceneries on the background of our reports.

From time to time, as X-Life development is going forward, I used to record one of my test flights.
Those video got each more then 1300 entries.I am sure that they contributed to spread the XL plugin

This time using XL v.1.r2 I made a video of my flight from LEGE to LFML during the night. (55min, 4.3 giga)

Fact; the version "XL v. 1.1r2" you are using is not up to date therefore, it does nothing to help the testing out! the version that is current 1.1r3 ... see post# 184

JAR just posted 1.1r3 today so, you most likely did not see it not to worry. look back at post #181
and it will show you all you need to do is replace the xpl file and you will be good you do not have to replace the whole XL file.
