Hi !
regarding to this text below, I've made some tests with some airports regarding to traffic problems,
here are the results (for those who have problems with ATC routes and no traffic, only 1 time traffic and so on):
1) you need a correct ATC route for the airport, that's clear. but this is not very complicated.
2) If you do not have traffic now, you are running in one of the following problems:
a) the airport has no SID defined in AIRAC cycle. It's just easy: No SID, NO outgoing traffic.
==> Easy to check: Open X-Life flight plan, enter a route and press generate. If you do not get a route
(empty output) you will not have traffic.
CYXC is a candidate for exactly this problem. You will never get traffic here. We need an updated X-Life.
b) you have only one runway defined in AIRAC cycle (as APP or FINAL)
==> Easy to check: Set weather manually. Set wind speed >20kt, direction parallel to runway in one or
other direction. Example: Runway 16/34, set wind to 160deg and test. Then set wind to 340 deg
and test.
CYXC is a candidate for this: It has only Runway 16 defined in AIRAC, so if you set this to tailwind, you will not have
incoming traffic. If you set correct wind, you will have incoming traffic. If you switch on
real weather, you may or may not have incoming traffic...
At the end, both problems should be resolved to get also smaller airports running.
Bug a) should be resolved fast, because it affects also the A320/A330 FMC which is not working correctly here.
Bug b) can be resolved by enabling tailwind landings on airports which have only 1 runway defined.

There is a really big bug in Flight Plan route calculation (in xlife, A320, A330)
- It is NOT POSSIBLE to calculate a route where no SID is defined in AIRAC Cycle in dep. airport
- If there is no SID defined in dep. airport, it is NOT POSSIBLE to get a complete flight plan in A320 + A330
How to reproduce this bug every time (it's NOT the airport CYXC !!):
- install included airport CYXC
- we try to calculate a route from CYXC to KSFO
1) start x-life
2) hotstart A320neo2.6b4
3) open x-life Flight Plan
4) ENTER: dep: CYXC, arr: KSFO, altern: KSFO, Level: 320
5) Press "Generate"
Result: Nothing, empty flight plan. Does not work. You won't be able to generate a route.
6) in FMC A320, enter: CYXC/KSFO in init page (from/to)
7) switch to F-PLAN
8) set departure and arrival SID/STAR, does not matter what you set.
Result: "Flight Plan Dis." which is not removable.
You can not delete the Flight Plan Dis., regardless what you do.
===> This does not work.
9) Install the included modified_navdata_CYXC.txt in "GNS430/navdata/proc/CYXC.txt", but BACK UP the old version
(because my modifications are NOT real world, just to show what is going wrong)
(it's a simple modification, I copied the SID from CYYC and corrected the names. This is logically nonsense,
but technically your generator thinks that there are valid SIDs at the airport).
10) restart x-plane, goto 1) and restart :-)
Result:
a) Flight plan calculation works now.
b) no more "Flight Plan Dis." in A320 which can not be removed. Select any SID and remove the "Flight Plan Dis."
Conclusion:
==> Route calculation needs to be fixed, FMC needs to be fixed (same bug) :-)
(don't forget to restore the original AIRAC data backed up before....)
Best regards,
