Topic: X-Life ver 2.2 R1, R2, R3 for X-Plane 10/11

Hello! This time X-Life plugin was reworked

What New:
R1: (.xpl files attached here)
+ decrease of memory usage
+ increase a transit traffic dencity
+ add "Change CRZ FL request"
+ some bug and CTD was fixed

R2:
+ some CTDs fixed
+ framerate optimisation

R3:
+ add .xlf (new compatible airports) update notification
+ not-moved traffic for some airports fixed
+ takeoff without ATC clearance fixed


Installation:

If you use ver.2.X, you need update .xpl files only (attached below)

If you use ver.1.X, you need delete old and install new FULL plugin from ZIP, please not mix any

1. Be sure what you use OSX 10.9-10.12 or Windows 7-8-10 and X-Plane 64 bit 10.42+ or X-Plane 11 64 bit.

2. Be sure what you have at least one of static library installed -
OpenSceneryX. If not, you can install it for free opensceneryx.com

3. Copy “X-Life” folder to your ../X-PLANE 10/Resources/plugins/ folder

4. If you prefer use HD “Bluebell XL” traffic AI library, please download 3 files from

http://jardesign.org/downloads/BBXL/BBXL-2.zip
http://jardesign.org/downloads/BBXL/BBXL-3.zip

Next unZIP and put “Bluebell XL” folder to ../X-PLANE 10/Custom Data/ folder
and install folders “PackA”, “PackB”, “PackG”, “PackJ”, “PackP” to
../X-PLANE 10/Custom Data/Bluebell XL/ folder

UPDATE YOU NAV DATA WITH FRESH CYCLE (if needed)
X-Life use NavData (old) cycle by Aerosoft from own /navdata/ subfolder
or from ../X-PLANE/Custom Data/GNS430/navdata/ folder if exist

If you need update your cycle, please use Aerosoft/Navigraph
- “JARDesign a320/330 Native format” or (the same in fact)
and put new cycle to ../X-PLANE/Custom Data/GNS430/navdata/ folder

Be better if you can compare framerate what you get with 2.1 and 2.2 versions. For this, please:

- run x-life 2.1 in your favourite airport with cavok weather and light aircraft like cessna. Wait 5 minutes and look at framerate.
- update win.xpl and mac.xpl files, run x-life 2.2 in the same airport with same weather and aircraft. Wait 5 minutes and look at framerate.

Please inform me about results if this possible.

          ver 2.2  35-37 fps

Test flight EDDM - EDDK X-Plane 11.20r6 A330 v.3.r3, X-Life 2.2r1 - perfect flight simulation from cold and dark until parking and engine shuttdown

The A330 is now very good balanced in all flight situation including APPR and landing. The renew MCDU is impressing and takes the wind out of the sails of all the critics who have always had to put up with something.

X-Life is also working without any problems enhancing the AI traffic. I think that most of the problems that have occurred so far have in the majority their causes in the unfinished or improperly planned sceneries.

FPS A330 EDDM (high XP graphic settings and 2048 x 1152 resolution):
v.2.1 inside cockpit  36fps outside 44fps
v.2.2          "           35fps     "      41fps

Ok, looks like my own results. Equal or little less framerate bur memory usage decrease a lot and have many aircafts it the sky as transit.

At stand 558 at the Aerosoft London Heathrow, a frame hungry airport, with medium weather in A330v3r2 I got 20/21 with the old X-Life and at the same spot 24/25 witt the naw X-Life. So, an increase of about 3 or 4fps.

I also noticed that 2.2r1 loaded aircraft in the air and on the ground quicker, I will try a flight in the A330 later.

A job well done JAR and team.

Iam so happy that you still you are still working at Xlife. I will compare as soon a possible.
I hope you can improve the fps too compared to 2.1 smile

Nice works JAR. Frame rate +1 FPS on new version. Nice option for change FL, and have many aircraft in the sky as transit. It is nice to see all this AI planes on map or SimBrief map it make the feeling that you're not alone in the sky.

Concerning the new X-Life version:
- For the first time I wasn't  flying alone. During flight there were severals AI aircraft at different flight level.....
- More AI traffic on taxiways and in the sky around airports are making airport sceneries becoming more alive...
- ATC allowed me to change FL during cruising to avoid heavy cloud formations..

All in all XL is getting more and more sophisticated !

I had a CTD on Approach when i request another runway (26L instead of 30).

Just clicked "Request Runway 26L" for KMIA and then it crashed.

I just tested a new version of x-life  2.2 R1. It was enjoyable flight. Thanks JAR.

Here is my opinion what is possible wrong accordion this flight:

1. X-life made weird route , I checked route then I made route with http://vau.aero/route/

2. In my opinion when passed TA 12000 , that is trigger for contact CENTER

3. X-life used wired ATC Frequencies, not REAL freq.

When calling TOD, you get "Wrong ATIS information." It should be set at transition altitude and not XXXXXFT at TOD. Otherwise I like it better now, much more FPS friendly, and also ALT Change request is great.

Hi Jar,

last flight I tried to get vectors near the arrival airport.
Until there I followed my flightplan as filed. Then i realised that my STAR wasnt the right and to have it easy I "requested vectors".
The vector I got was to the first waypoint of the flightplan.

Is this right ? I thought I should get vectors to the approach.

Except of this, nice version, heavy traffic even at high flightlevels, much fun, keep up the good work.

I successfully upgraded models and textures by using the new Bluebell OBJ8 files for CSL, just replacing only files without touching subdirectories structure to let be recognized by the X-Life plugin and it works so good.

Edit:
@Eugene, would you mind to change the Bluebell directory structure from the old package to the new one to put in the ..\Resources\plugins\XSquawkBox\Resources\CSL directory, with the same substructure of CSL for XSquawkBox?
This solution should make a pratical way to renew old models, update and why not, have more kind of planes.

Just install the 2 files, i was able to send to ATIS, but when exporting to FMG says wrong file i use A320

For me all aircraft are in the ground now. The positions seems not to be correct.

To Xlife 2.2: I have exact 1 fps more big_smile
