Do I need to remove my old files then drag in the new zipped files downloaded on here, then enter my serial number to get the aircraft working, before it would,'t work, and it says don't mix the old files with the new files here.

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 3.0r1-6 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

Test flight KBOSKEWR in XP11.00r1, A320v3.0r1
Main issue:
Speed brakes do NOT deploy visually during flight and there is NO drag and no speed reduction, although there is an announcement as well ("spoilers full"). Therefore, overspeed during descent even though I started descent early, below 10000ft, speed remained around 280-300kts so I came in too fast, couldn't deploy flaps and so the turn onto final approach didn't happen and I had to line up manually and land manually which worked surprisingly well.
Log attached.

EDIT: On the ground everything is fine. Speed brakes deploy visually if engines are on or electric pump is on (no engines). When in flight this doesn't happen and ECAM (FCtrl) doesn't show deployment either.

These instructions were written for XP10 and doesn't work with XP11.

In short, you need to rename main BSS folder (the one with ~12 subfolders and ~6 files) from sound3d-1 to sound3d and copy this folder into "YOUR-XP11-FOLDER\Aircraft\YOUR-JAR320-FOLDER\plugins" replacing older files.

Don't forget to backup original JAR "sound3d" folder.

laohu314,
J.A.Romanov,

Speed brakes do NOT deploy visually during flight and there is NO drag and no speed reduction

I can confirm, there's something wrong with speed brakes. It's hard to explain, better for JAR to look personally.

It's like there's some extra detent - invisible and unannounced by copilot - between "spoilers half" and "spoilers armed" states. On this "hidden" detent spoilers are neither armed, retracted or extended.

How to reproduce: arm spoilers with mouse CLICK, then disarm with mouse CLICK, then arm again with mouse WHEEL. Here's video:

Main issue:

1. Yesterday I wrote to JAR:  I don't know if the TD point may be too close to the 10000 red point but if I an descending with stronger tailwinds, even full speedbrakes don't prevent aircraft speed climbing (sometimes into red with alarm and AT disconnected).

2. Now, it might be that although there is a co-pilot announcement speedbrakes... factually nothing happened. Speedbrakes son't deploy at all. (I will pause simulation next time to see from outside if the flaps deployed).

Usually I start the decent early (about 10 nm before TD) and before I also reduce speed to 280 kt. With headwind it works but with tailwind because of point 1 aircraft always accelerates even if I have spoiler drag. At 10000 ft as you also mentioned I fly with overspeed (ATC is annoying with its "reduce speed to 250 kt) and have to level up and made a loop to reduce speed and then capture again the flight route... This works when I am not descending in a mountain area. In fact it is not a near real simulation because I am not flying in an identified loop. I think that adjusting the forenamed 2 points will solve our problem.

Is it my impression or do we have to accelerate the aircraft more so it can move on the ground? I do not know if this is from the X-Plane 11 or the a320neo aircraft. In X-Plane 10 he did not need to accelerate the aircraft so much.

Yeah, this aircraft require too much thrust to start moving (34-37% N1). The real A320 often moves even on idle.

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 3.0r1-6 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

Hi !

ok, I found the problem. May be of interest to others who have problems getting ISL working:

- the A320 uses the ILS frequencies from the installed AIRAC cycle.
- the airports use their own infos included in the airport data.

-> if an airport changes it's ILS frequency, you have to update both, airac and airport.

If you only update one part (because airport is payware and no update available) it won't work any more.

dimkzr wrote:

thomas_99,

My guess is that in "EDDL additional ILS05L 1413.zip" 1413 stands for ancient AIRAC cycle from 2014.
However, if you look at their latest ILS 05L approach chart dated 20.05.2015 you'll see the correct frequency which is 110.95:
http://nav.vatsim-germany.org/files/edg … ILS05L.pdf

So, my second guess is that you're using very, very outdated expansion for your EDDL scenery (EDDL additional ILS05L 1413.zip). Getting rid of it will probably solve your problem.

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 3.0r1-6 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

Hi there!
Bought the A320 and I'm already about to try a refund...
I thank JARDesign for quickly responding to my initial error (plane was unusable due to SASL errors), the re-download seems to have worked (ZIP was probably "corrupted").

However, the plane constantly drops out of AP mode (especially when using outside views) and ALWAYS stops following the route at some point and just flies straight on. It won't catch on the route if navigated back manually.

ILS landings / 10 m to runway landings selected from x-planes flight setup menu fail spectacularly: After 2 secs it invariably goes into a 90° dive and rams into the ground. It does this whatever tricks I try and even overrides attempts to hand fly it.

If anyone has some help to offer, I'd be more than grateful.
I can however not deny that I'm pretty taken aback about the performance of one of the oldest planes on X-Plane at this price point. I somehow thought that with all the updates and all my other planes (even from XP10) working flawlessly the A320 was finally "stable"?

P.S.: When I finally gave up on the approach flights and let the plane bury itself in the ground, x-plane crashed to desktop...

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 3.0r1-6 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

You may try to fix this with "user_nav.dat"
This file is used to override XP11 navdata with custom settings (like your own localizer course and ILS frequency for any given airport).
I'm not sure whichever source has the highest priority - user_nav.dat or custom scenery (your EDDL in our case), so you'll have to find this out :-)

It could happen, yes. Just select the next waypoint from FMC > DIR menu, it helps the autopilot to get back on course. I hope they'll fix this someday.

Thanks. That's what I tried, may have done it wrong, though. It's been awhile since I've flown Airbus.

I'm now using the N1704 and i've the same problem.

Please have a look to the log file.

This happen when trying to enter as next point :

Reset, red message asking to give the log file.

Thank you smile

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 3.0r1-6 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

Hello

I did my first test flight with v3.0r1 and failed to taxi to the runway. The steering on the ground seems very insensitive (visually a full to the right is almost invisible on the nose wheel) so that I was unable to follow the taxiway. I failed to follow any turn and after trying to get the steering fixed, the noes wheel suddenly went into 90 degrees position and then did no longer react to any input from the joystick. The rudder pedal and the rudder flight control however were moving as expected.

Here for reconstruction: I taxied in LSZH from A42 to rwy 32 via N, F, A, K....

is anybody able to taxi this route?

thanks
nik

Sounds like there's an abnormality, some sounds are intermittent e.g. flaps sound. The plane shadow looks like a sawtooth.

No, I already checked this. And by the way rudder pedals move "proportional" to the joystick movement and the flight control test was successfully completed.

This is X-Plane 11 only update. It is not compatible with X-Plane 10 (or at least not officially supported). Most things in V3 are just fixes to adapt new things for X-Plane 11 and no new features.

For me plane works fine. Nothing special noticed. Cruise level inserting seems once again to work (no more lowering it to ridiculous low). Big thing still is IRS align and timer for it. It still don't work. IRS gets aligned when ECAM still says 5min to align. I'd like to see fix for this. Also when taking off and you set thrust to 50% for stabilization it actually goes all way up to around 60% and then come back to 50% and this should not happen.

Anyway JarDesign has done great to keep us updated during the beta. Most payware developers have said that no updates until release is out. I've been able happily to fly JDA320 during whole beta. I hope missing features will see day light next!
