@1) There are, at least, two possibilities. You can "hide" the static aircraft in the scenery using WED (this doesn't work for every scenery, depending on how exactly is was generated) or you can make a new dsf file, also in WED, in which you create exclusion zones on top of every static a/c you want to remove and then load this scenery (perhaps named "ICAO - non-static", before loading the actual airport scenery.
The latter is a cleaner way of temporarily removing static a/c that can also be shared with others but it is more work.
@2) The Bluebell a/c look a lot better and come with proper lights on and off at the correct times. I'm afraid that's all I know about Bluebell a/c...

Thank you for your reply laohu314.
Regarding the static aircraft problem, I've found an easier way and that is to download the nostatic.zip file of the relevant airport.

Re: X-Life ver 1.1 (r1, ++)

Question:
In the X-Life settings panel, it gives us the option of Selected Aircraft with the buttons Select and Unselect. I tried selecting C172 and it still gives all the other types of planes. Is the C172 an option?

I don't know where can I check it...

But I looked inside XL at the METAR folder LTAI.txt file (I was starting from this airport)
http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1591/t/p1apjgabqk1kf91ju646g1ctc1jl23.jpg

Then I clicked on here and got this that file:
http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1591/t/p1apjgdje31bcq16bv1mit1qo415si5.jpg

looking at my older version of X-Plane 10.45 at the same file:
http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1591/t/p1apjgh2ffm868fe1b47v36987.jpg

Do you or any other use know what that means?
Why has the METAR file been moved?

Re: X-Life ver 1.1 (r1, ++)

now I remember that because on my last flight I didn't get METAR data, I dialed the radio to ATIS freq and got Data from X-Plane (text and voice) . On the A320 weather data screen the actual data (dep and arr) was shown correctly.....

Yep you are correct. That is what I found in the METAR txt file. Looks like it will require an update from JAR.  I think that X-Plane is also affected by this change and may require an update.

Re: X-Life ver 1.1 (r1, ++)

I've still lost all the ATIS info apart from the take off and landing runways for the departure and arrival airports. I'm running X Life v1.1r3 in X-Plane v10.50r1, the problem occurred in v 10.50b7, so the update had no effect. Everything else in X Life appears to be working correctly. I've tried both the Jar A320 and A330, the same in both.
I've re-downloaded X Life and then re-installed it into X-Plane and it remains the same, no idea what has caused this as I have made no changes to my computer or my X-Plane set-up.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Based on the discussion earlier it looks like a server address (http://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/) has changed which causes a failure to get the ATIS data.

Select the Plugins / GroundHandling / Control Panel menu, From there you can select all/any of the available ground services. Click on the + button to add the service and the - button to send them away. The H button hides the respective service (so you don't taxi over it). In addition to this, you can build Control Sets but that can get a bit complicated and is beyond what I can help with. Others may be able to assist with that.

If I open my JARDesign A330, and wan`t to take off, it does nothing. After taking the park break off, some screens (Navigation Display, FCU Flight Control Unit) change to blackscreen.
Please can somebody tell me how I can solve the problem.

Re: X-Life ver 1.1 (r1, ++)

The newest version of X life 1.4 seems to working fine with the latest version of X-plane 10.50 which I think is now out of beta, but not officially released. After couple of test flights from KBWI to KJFK and one from KSEA to KLAX all works great and no issues with the ATIS weather info or ATC. I'm hoping that in the future the ATC will further be developed. My wish list: 1.Communication between ATC and other X Life aircraft during a flight and on the ground. (Maybe this could be done using a separate window on top of the screen?)    2. ATC to give headings to fly during a flight. For example, "United 123 fly heading 240"    3. To be able to choose an approach type. For example at KJFK, "Request runway 13L VOR approach." or "Request runway 22R ILS approach"   4. To be able to file a flight plan during a flight or change a flight plan. Hats off to JAR and team bringing X-Life so far in a short amount of time! Lots of hard work and time has gone into X-Life. Looking forward to further improvements whatever they may be and a big thanks to all the testers and team JAR. Happy flying!
