No info,,,I get a message that I must stat X-Life in order for the flightplan window to open but the thing is X-Life is already started.

By the way amazing software! This will put X-Plane on top no doubt about it. As a scenery developer I am trying to learn all I can about how this all works so I can pass it on to others. I also posted to Mrx and he seemed very intrested in trying it out.

I am a big fan and trying to get more fans on board.

And I do not get any CTD with the update to 8, runs great with the converted KPDX with planes all over the place, coming and going.

Thanks! Anyway - log.txt may help to understand situation. Sure, I see what power button is on, but also i should know some internal details to try get this situation at my computer for debug.

No real problem,,I am trying to make it work with some of my smaller airports I made and I think there is something I am missing. I set up for ATC, tower, ground, delivery (some of the small airports don't have all the coms). And I set the taxi lines per instructions but because they are small these airports don't get a lot of traffic.

One question: about the window that comes up where you can adjust the sliders for traffic ground and air there is a box at the top to type in an aircraft or number and select - what doe it do and what do I enter into the selection box?

hey JAR. I had an issue when upgrading to beta version 8. If I only replaced the win.xpl file I got the traffic to load, but nothing moved. If I deleted the whole x-life folder (keeping the airports folder, and my .reg file), and installed the whole thing new it worked again.

Good day,
this is not X-Life but the airport error and the work done on the dat.txt and or the .txt in the FM file Airport I was having error messages but due to scenery errors not XL.
I will get more data on this and send in.

But, other than this the KSNA is another airport that has the same issue with scenery error messages . no other like LIRF ok just tried it and it populated with no issues.

I am not sure if this has been reported, but with beta 8 I get error messages in the log.txt file that references to OpensceneryX aircraft fail to open objects and fail to load objects. I have just updated my OpensceneryX library and I see that the paths to the various aircraft are incorrect (for example X-Plane 10/Custom Scenery/OpenSceneryX/objects/aircraft/jets/heavy/b767-300/jal/object.obj should read .... jal/cargo/object.object) or lead to empty folders (for example X-Plane 10/Custom Scenery/OpenSceneryX/objects/aircraft/jets/corporate/citation_x/unlit/object.obj because ...citation_x/unlit is actually empty).

that' OK, i had can purchase XL yesterday. Very cool ! Very good !

I have several suggestions for ATC box:

- I think you could add an option for activate voice or not when pilot talk. (and not just when ATC talk)

- I think it's not very good to have sentences's suggestions when we are not on the good radio's channel

- So, I think the suggestions may appears when the "pilot" click on the good button (ground, tower, departure...) OR when he change the channel on his radio and he's on the good channel.

- I think ATC tell the channel to contact when we must conctact another service. Example: "Ground, authorize for Taxi B757XXX, contact tower on 134.25 when you are on hold point." Why ? Cause on the big airports, there are many channel for the same service and ATC must say to pilot witch channel he must contact.

You will see the ground route of aircraft with this entered number. Example - user aircraft is 0.

Loaded up the new beta 8....P.E.R.F.E.C.T.O.! Everything worked perfectly! I'm gonna try it on x-plane beta45 now and see if it works. Thank you again for such an Excellent immersion plug-in. LOVE IT!!!!!

Perfect in xplane Beta too. Had to take settings file from 1042 xplane/xlife since the settings panel for xlife in xplane beta was stuck again, doing the 2fpm bit..but changing that put it to perfecto! Off to the RL airport now

When pressing the airplane button to make text of aircraft info appear or disappear, when in the air (text blue), the airplane also disappears.

Thanks for answering our questions Jar.

I was wondering what happens when the airport gets populated using X-Life but then nothing moves. Nothing on the radar and no ground movement even after 20 minutes of waiting.

I have just tried a converted airport that works for some but for me all is queit and still.

OK, I have tried everything to get it working reliable. I must admit that I am frustrated by now by the lack of information in the logs.
Some airports work, other half and others do nothing.
NB1: every airport I tried has basically the same layout -> if one works why not the others as well??
NB2: for he FM car is the same: sometimes it works, most of the time not...

I uploaded 2 examples:
EGJB: traffic loads, but no departures (sometimes arrivals) . Sometimes 1 line (DEP) just disappears and becomes blank. FM car does not work
EBBX: X-Life gives error: LFSJ airport (??) not compatible. FM car reports: EBBX not compatible??

For now I give up. I will try again with future releases... I really hope you can improve it, the concept is still great!

I had that happen and then I read on the x-plane forum that it might be due to having the sliders at max in settings. I reduced to default and traffic reappeared! JAR please take note.

Hi guys. I also don't get options when at TOD.
Approach and landed without ATC.
Maybe we are not setting up the flight plan properly.
Maybe you can just post a quick a to z on how to do the flight from gate to gate.

May be yes, i dont know. Sure, in real you can say wrong request to wrong channel too. I will think.

For this point, that's sure, but for others...

We don't know witch frequency we must call and the buttons don't change frequencies on radio. So, we don't know on witch frequency we are. Perhaps you could too color the active frequency (button).

And in reality, you can have several frequencies for each service. So, ATC must tell us witch Freq we must contact. And you set frequencies on radio.

The sliders for density of traffic cause traffic to not appear if they are set too high. I think it has to do with the JAR Clever Plugin where the software is adjusted to the power or lack of power of your pc.

I wish there was a way to overide this Clever Plugin capping system so I could decide how much too use rather than let the software decide how much I can use.

Perhaps you could give a look: I have included both apt.dat files -> I would be very glad if you could tell me what I missed! WED reports no errors and groundroutes tools for WorldTraffic work also fine for these airports. So what should I change to make them work with X-Life and Fm car??

Sure, need use flightplan menu and prepare/send flightplan to ATC. This is only way how ATC will know about your arrival airport.

Another, what you need - check what you are reach cruize FL, what you are entered to flightplan

If both are Ok - Report TOD should be available.
