it is in Beta will need key as soon as it goes out maybe... this is a question only JAR can answer and the post was for JAR and yes, GS does work for me also,I just want it to keep working that is why I asked for Key...

Not needed, for me it works without a license.

FWIW When "calling away" the ground service some doors stayed open too. And closing all doors didn't close them, departed anyway with not paying any attention to it but after landing I noticed the doors where closed.

I noticed it depends on wind direction I wonder if there is something going on with peto .. but it did stabilize after a while will keep an eye on...

Wind is only showing above 80kts or 100kts, thats normal Airbus (and Boeing) behavior so everything is correct.


To GND Service:
You need a Serial key if you want to use it with other aircraft than the JarDessign A330-200


To topic:

Currently flying EDDL-HEGN no problems so far. Even with flying on VATSIM.

No if you take a look into the FCOM, you will notice that this behaviour is correct. (There was a topic about that in the forum too: http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=996. The A320 also shouldn't display the wind at any time either, but the A320 was developed before the A332 and is a little bit behind by updating the systems by JARDesign.


There is no wind data measurement equipment onboard, its only calculated by inputs of other sensors. (Don't know the exact inputs which are needed to calculate the wind data right now). So it's just not possible to calculate the wind if you stand on ground with out motion.

2nd flight, also no CTD, everything worked fine, I just didn't realise I had much too much cargo with me, thus had to divert to an alternate.

So completed my flight to HEGN.

No Problems: Except that it wasn't possible to shut down the engines via the Engine Master switch. They I only stopped spinning by tuning off the Fuel Pumps.

During the time the DEV Console was filling up with ERROR messages, the MCDU started to "lock-up" and not responding to every key input.

I manged to save it from crashing X-Plane by creating a CO RTE file on another PC (typing into a text editor eg. Notepad++, then saving it over the network pasting it into the  faulty A330 FlightPlans folder while the MCDU was starting to lockup, and managed to get the A330 Beta4 to load the CO RTE file just in time.

FLPL disappeared after trying DIR


20 min later all NAV displays switched off and it went into CTD.

I am curious,   vertical speed in touchdown with light wind in autoland mode at ILS CAT III is 250-450 ft/min. This is too much for an aircraft, isn't it? The same goes for manual landing(autopilot disengage and according to manual). Am i the only one with that sort of problem? Most video tutorials have averagely the same vertical speed at touchdown is more than 250 ft/min.

Flew EGLL to LIPZ.  Only problems was pink haze on the cockpit windows at about 10 mins into the flight.  It went away after I disabled rain drops.

thank-you for the info... on both issues ... and that is what it was on the wind speed ... for me non- issue ... I was watching the gauges to make sure the main gauges were working ... and it maintained the track very well in cross-wind.. also.

Just complete test flight with XP10.40 beta 9 with My a330.

Autopilot and flight modes seems work well, but a330 eat fuel like CRAZZZY.

Two flights with the 1.2 b4 without CTD. That's great news. Just a few 'substandard' issues, like the weird behavior of the FMS (old news - see forum - reported many times) and the manipulator for adjusting SPEED, HEADING and ALTITUDE. The new Push/Pull/Rotate is not my favorite solution; it's hard to get the discrete number you want because of overshooting the desired SPD, HDG or ALT. Give us an option to choose for the old school manipulator.

NAV RAD PAGE is not working properly

when you manually tune on VOR1 it shows on the MFD as VOR2 anything tuned on VOR2 never shows

Fuel consumption: Last flight I went along with Homer, EDDL-HEGN, he said take 32 tonnes of fuel plus some reserves. I loaded 42 tons, but still had to divert into HECA due to low fuel (landed with 5 tons left. It might have just been enough to go to HEGN, but I wanted to land safe.

Pic after landing with slightly too much cargo.. plus the 42 tons fuel pre set from the fueling..

EDIT: yet I'm truly happy the plane is more stable now, I have no worries about fuel and consumption, no long-hauls planned big_smile
