Re: v.1.2b3 distributive (Windows 7/8, MAC OS)

I had the same problems as others.
I made two flights and a few minutes after departure: blackout.
In the first flight of the blackout only MCDP, but I managed to turn on, re-program and have completed the flight.
In the second flight, total blackout of all monitors and MCDU with emergency landing at LICR.

Re: v.1.2b3 distributive (Windows 7/8, MAC OS)

Hi,

I downloaded the latest beta version of the A330.

But on the FCU I can't rotate the knobs of altitude : a grey message appears "Push -Pull - Rotate"  and it is impossible to have the white circle with + and - to increase or decrease altitude, speed or heading

System:

Windows 7 64 bits
X plane 10 . 40 b7

Thanks  a lot for your help

I'm working on the same system as you do except for the X-Plane version. I'm using right now 10.40 b6, because
10.40b7 has some serious issues whith nav so is causing a lot of problems with every addon. 10.40 b7 doesn't work fine.

As far as the way of mouse working is concerned, this is something normal.

This is the new way of knobs working.
To increase or decrease, you have to use the wheel mouse when the mouse indicator is onto the knob.

And for push(managed mode), you have to press the left mouse button and for pull(selected mode), you have to press the right mouse button on the knob itself.

When you push the knob(speed, altitude, VS, HDG) you can see how the knob depress inside and when pulling this one, you can see how the knob comes out. It's amazing. One of the most coolest improvements. LOL.
Greetings.

Did you try to disable randomize faillures in the x-plane setbox?

It's something that happened to me as well as you, and I solved disabling that option. It didn't happen anymore.

Hi,

Thanks a lot to everybody for your answers.

I have checked and that's Ok. Sorry, I had not immediately understand the new functionnality.

The new feature (scroll and click with the mouse) is wonderful and I find much better with the knobs

Thanks

Re: v.1.2b3 distributive (Windows 7/8, MAC OS)

I would love if the users with working push-pull and scroll function on the 1.2b3 aircraft could tell me how the scrolling works. Is it smooth? Does one "roll/click" on the scroll wheel translate into one turn on the knob on the FCU? For me it did just this and was perfect when I was on plane 10.40b7, but when I rolled back to 10.36, the scroll function was much worse. One roll on my scroll wheel didn't do anything to the knob on the FCU. I had to roll many times before something happened, and then the knob on the FCU span very fast. In other words, very hard to get the numbers on the FCU knob that I want...

How does this work for you?

My earlier post:

Downloaded the fix. Push-pull works as before, scroll is still hard to use / not accurate. It was perfect on XP 10.40b7, one click translating to one "turn" on the knob on the FCU, which meant it was super easy (and simply perfect) to put the numbers in. After rolling back to last stable XP version, 10.36, this turning is very bad. Its very hard to use, and in stead of 1 s to turn to correct number, I now often use 10s.
I hope this will change soon... smile

SOLVED.

I figured out what caused the problem. I added the suffix "beta" to the folder name of the aircraft and perhaps not matched more Windows product key to the aircraft. At this point I deleted everything, run a clean installation and re-activated the plane.
Run again the flight, the same, and everything worked fine.

I only have problems closing the doors before take-off (plugin A330).

They did not close, but I do not know if it was a problem related to that of the blackout (see above). I could close them only with the moving plane.

Now I just tried again and worked fine.

Hi mate.

We must be aware of the fact that the GroundService plugin is just a test with this version as Romanov said before.
We have right now two instances to the GroundService: The old, and the new one in the form of a plugin.

All in all doors seems to work ok, but it's necessary delete the old ground services instances under the menu.

The most important thing is the great advance in the new groundservice plugin. An the best: it can work with other addons with just a new bought.

So I was descending into LOWI during night and I thought I'd turn up the flood lights to max. When I turned the knob to the maximum setting the displays went blank. All of them. The MCDU-s, the lot.

Sure, I know.

Returning A330 1.2b3,
unfortunately I was doing right now a flight between LICJ / LIRF and after 10 minutes of flying again blackscreen. All off. Messages dell'hostes work and currently also the autopilot. I followed the flight with EFASS.

It disappeared again also the checklist.

Re: v.1.2b3 distributive (Windows 7/8, MAC OS)

Hi Everyone, a few days ago right after this beta release I reported a massive blackout of all instruments, inc radios. I tried it on both xpbeta7 (which proved broken, waiting for 8) and also the last stable xplane 1036 release and posted BOTH xplane logs in two posts of everything needed.
No one responded, I was completely ignored....so i figured no one really cares. ( I thought I was HELPING the community AND the developers with my time to test, which I really like doing. My time is valuable too despite the short time left) But now I see others with the same blackout problems.
All the info I posted is still here in this forum (Page1), so if anyone has time for this disabled veteran, this guy would be in pig heaven lol
Thanks (again) in advance

Re: v.1.2b3 distributive (Windows 7/8, MAC OS)

I made several flights with this version using OSX 10.8.5 with XP10.40b6 and the magic mouse of apple.
The push/ pull function is only working with the other plugin in this post.
The sound plugin was not readed but is working now.
All instruments go dark after some flight time, aircraft still flyable and can be manually safely landed. So far I had just one crash maybe due to the SASL/ Mac bug. I think it is very important how much VRAM and RAM s available to run the sound modules and complex FMC.
