Did you try to download complete X-life from from permanent link to latest version and take win.xpl or mac.xpl from there and put in X_life. I have the same problem, but now traffic works excelent on departure and arriving airports.

You're right in what you say, but it's version 2.2r1

if you update to 2.2r2 it is when it works badly.

At the moment I stay in the 2.2r1

Why does EGPF ( Glasgow ) show as not compatible when trying to load a flight plan when it's downloadable from JAR simliveries and the xlf file is in the X-LIFE airports folder.

I might try and reload X-Life, when X-Life loads into XP 11.20 it's still showing version 2.2r1, I thought I had downloaded version 2.2r2. I may have missed a post saying that version 2.2r2 is showing as 2.2r1.
I may be wrong, but I do have the feeling that X-Life has slowed my XP down.

Also in WED 1.6 we can indicate the max aircraft size in taxi route, Why not use this information to avoid jumbos use taxiways limited to tourism aircrafts ?

Since I installed R2 i have big FPS problems.
I have XP 11.20B3.
Usually I get 40-50 fps. If I activate X-Life the fps drops to 15-16 fps !!!
If I use the plugin manager and deactivate XL the fps  raises to 40-50 fps.
After reactivate XL in the manager the fps drops to 15-16 fps again.

Some hints?

As i understand from the Developer blog, the whole rendering procedure for plugins has changed. Could be that X-Life has to be customized to fit these.

You have to wait for an update of x-life or you can try by don't using a beta version of xplane.

@ JAR: I had also a crash of Xplane when calling FMCar Version 2.6 with X-Life 2.2 R2 .

Release 3 just posted. A number of ctd / bugfixes included

+ add .xlf (new compatible airports) update notification
+ not-moved traffic for some airports fixed
+ takeoff without ATC clearance fixed

It looks like the new version of X-Life (v2.2R3) doesn't read .dat files in Airport Editor. I tried to make an .xlf file from a .dat file that is recognized by X-Life and FM Car but when I open Airport Editor it shows nothing.

Hi JAR Devs,

Departure and Arriving Airports now have traffic in R3.

I still get the problem with microfreezes (approx every 15 seconds freeze for 1 second and above) with 2.2 R3. You can recognize it when monitoring in CPU load. (plse have a look on screenshot). For me its like a stop breathing and I can not enjoy...

With 2.1 I can not figure out that problem and there is no hint in monitoring CPU. (plse have a look on second shot)

For troubleshooting I tested on fresh Win and XPlane installation as well without any other 3rd plugins.

System: Win 10 (latest version), XP 11.11, I7 7700k, Graphic NV 1080ti, 64GB RAM, Win on NVM SSD, XP on NVM SSD

Is it possible to get version with functions and features from 2.2 with the 2.1 variant of RAM usage that CPU do not stock after loading for XLife?

I also would prefer the version where AI aircraft were calculated or placed in the beginning but use more RAM. I had problems with CPU load when when new AI planes were placed randomly  entering a new „area“ during flight. All aircraft arround me just were removed, new dfs files were loaded (which also stutters if using HD Mesh v4) and than it took a lot of time until i saw some AI aircraft again. Haven‘t tried R3 so can‘t say if this is R2 specific.

Hello JARTeam,

from where (with data) does XLD get the field elevation for landing, because on most VFR airports, aircrafts landing too high.

PS: i now VFR airport are not supported, but on any VFR airports XLD works nearly perfect.

I have had two perfect flights so far with the newest version 3. No problems with frame rates or stutters personally I turn my X enviro settings to the lowest which for me helps a great deal. During cruise weather settings can be increased. Traffic is plenty and active at departure and arrival airports. Could a function be added to skip a waypoint? When requesting vectors sometimes I have to backtrack to a waypoint and lose time on a flight. Otherwise this version I think works the best so far. Hi,
Still have the bug where sometimes after take off planes end up at negative altitudes (see screen shot). They climb initially then head for the ground and end up at the negative altitude of where they probably should be.

BUG REPORT:

Hi all. Just installed the latest X-Life, clean full reinstall. It seems now that the Flight Plan CRZ Level has its semi-circle rules all reversed.

I just flew FF757 from KSEA to KORD and SimBrief gave me FL350 but X-Life kept asking for an even number FL, like FL360 or FL340.

Just now, planned KORD to KLAX in SimBrief with a FL360, XLife is demanding FL350 or FL370. That doesn't seem in line with ICAO rules.

BUt if I check the "Ignore FL Semi-circular" box, I can enter whatever FL just to make it work.

Thought I'd let you guys know of my issue.

The standard rule defines an East/West track split:
Eastbound – Magnetic track 000 to 179° – odd thousands (FL 250, 270, etc.)
Westbound – Magnetic track 180 to 359° – even thousands (FL 260, 280, etc.)

Yes that correct for standard rule (most world covered),
but there are nonstandard rule (Italy, Spain, France).
In my opinion x-life can use standard rule if we want no additional coding and problems with x-life.

There is better add something better :
- fix bugs
- optimize code

then more

- AI traffic follow SID/ STAR
- option manual change SID/STAR
- real route database (or manual edit database)
- flight plan map (checking route)
- ATC conversation with AI
- .....
