So, I have removed Fly with LUA.......same result.

I have removed FM Car and X Life.........same result.

I also removed the "diagnost" plugin from the A330 (I read somewhere that it may cause sound problem?) and the Navigraph Simlink.

As I stated in my first post...I am new to flight sims. I did a flight in the stock 737-800. If I'm honest I had forgotten how to fly it properly but sound was present all the time.

I have attached 3 more log files. At the top of the file I have written what action caused the loss of sound.....though I don't think there is anything in the logs which identifies the cause. When sound disappeared I immediately closed down X Plane. 1st log no sound at start up!

Have you installed any further sound file (e.g. SoundMaxx, JAR BSS Sound package) ?

I thought the problem had gone. I tried another flight.....everything OK. I got into the air, set the AP. After 30 minutes or so I went to get myself a drink. When I got back....the sound had gone (apart from wind noise). So I didn't interact at all but the engine sounds, switches, PA etc were lost.  sad

No, although I purchased the BSS package, I have removed it since updating to 330 2.2r3. I wanted to get rid of everything which could cause the problem. That is why I have removed all the plugins including X Life, FM Car etc.

After you removed the BSS package did you reinstalled the original "Sound3D' folder ?

Hi, yes replaced BSS folder with original Sound 3D.

When I updated to a330 v2.2r3 I did not install the BSS package at all.

When I start X plane (with the A330), ALL sounds can be heard. However, at some point either on the ground or during flight, the sounds disappear. No engines, no first officer, no switch "clicks", no altitude call outs when landing, no "retard" etc.

The only sound I am left with is wind noise. I have removed every plugin possible but the problem is still there. I have also changed the location of the X Plane folder (It was on desktop but is now C:\X-Plane 11).

Attached another log. Sound went when entering data into mcdu. Then I shut down X Plane.

I am still curious about the line "E/FMOD: C:\jenkins\design-triggered\source_code\engine\sound\soun_fmod.cpp(172): FMOD error 51 - Error initializing output device."

It appears in some of the log files.

Have you already try another airport instead EGKK ?

Hi, Yes I have tried EHAM and others. X Plane always loads EGKK first even if it is not my departure airport. Is that correct?

No it's not correct, you can choose your departure airport in the main xplane 11 menu, select "new flight"...

If you don't have main menu at xp11 start-up, go to settings menu and click on "show main menu at sim launch"

Thanks again for your time. Yes, from the main flight menu I choose the plane, the departure airport (e.g. EHAM) and the weather and time.

So I am at EHAM. But the log shows that EGKK was loaded first. Always....no matter where my departure airport is set.

I contacted JAR about the sound problem. He could not find an explanation.

I think that I have found it!

I am mid flight at the moment.....no sound problem. Will update later.

Flight completed........no sound problems at all. I even got a round of applause from the passengers and "Nice landing sir" from the FO.

The problem was my external audio interface. Something was obviously causing some sound to be lost on the ground or in flight.
Maybe something to do with ASIO drivers.

The "good" flight was done with headphones plugged directly into the PC headphone socket.

Hi

If you noticed that from log.txt file  it is correct .
When you install a new scenery in "custom scenery" folder usually you delete the scenery_pack.ini file .This file is rebuilt when you restart X-plane whith alphabetical order .
That the reason why EGKK is loaded before EHAM .

Thank you. If I load new airport scenery I usually edit the ini file and make sure that the new airport is somewhere in the list above Global Airports. I thought I had seen it done like that on youtube.

If I delete the file and it rebuilds in alphabetical order will X Plane initially load whatever airport is first alphabetically and then load my selected departure airport. ( Of course, if I select EHAM that is where I am when X Plane has loaded. I don't find myself at EGKK first.  It is just the log.txt says it loaded EGKK (or first alphabetically if that is how the ini file is structured).
