Topic: X-Life ver 2.1 beta 3,4,5,6,7 (add real schedule)

Sure, I read "plan for future" topic well.

Our Long silence means just long coding. The next version 2.1 is designed to improve one of the problems of X-Life. I mean the inadequacy of airlines and airports. Some details for new feature:

- every time when you start traffic (I mean Deluxe version), your x-life plugin will send a request to the internet and "ask" to renew schedule info for your selected Arrival and Departure airports.
- this request executed on our server side and after this, actual schedule data come to our server from real-life data schedule provider.
- next - this data (sorted from actual ZULU time) come from our server to plugin
- so, your X-Life plugin have real schedule for actual ZULU time inside now
- next step - your X-Life plugin use real scheduler with this way:

> if aircraft library (Bluebell) have needed (exist in schedule) Aircraft/Livery for next flight number we will see it in traffic (for next generated slot) with actual Aircraft/Livery/ArrivalAirport/FlightNumber
> if aircraft library not have Aircraft/Livery for real flight, plugin will try to generate flight with Aircraft/Livery what exist for this airport in real schedule
> if no lack (like we mean most of GA flights) - autogeneration will use.

So, in most of big airports we will get a flights with real Aircraft/Livery/Arrival-Departure/FlightNumber flights and this is some improvement i think.

Sure, this is a public beta version and you may take part in beta tests.
If you are on version 2.0, you need put new .xpl file (attached) to your X-Life plugin folder instead of old.

Please not forget about ZIPs (with log.txt + xlife.dmp files) if crash will happen.

+ add datarefts for X-ATC-Chatter (separate plugin by Mark Ellis) integration
+ fix some bugs and CTDs

Thx for update. Ill try this beta version but I cant still not create flight plan from LJLJ to EDDF, created only LJLJ STAR EDDF, ATC not accepted. Plan LJLJ to LOWW is created but its not real. Flight plan creating over open air country's is still problem.

Finally !  good news.
As a veteran Beta tester I am for sure on board, beginning this evening...

I also expect the long-awaited MCDU update for the A330 ...

I,ll fly from LJLJ to LIMC, short fly to test ( Fly to Italy is only that i can generate with x-life from LJLJ) and all is going fine. Very nice to see real time flight schedule. THX again to you for continue  work on this addon, and i hope that you workin on your other project too.

Test flight with the new beta XL 2.1b3  from YSSY to YBBN. Until APPR everything was OK. Then GS didn't capture although FL250 for catching the GS was tuned correctly and APPR was activated: Aircraft turned in the last curve to opposite direction and I had to land manually.
After landing X-Plane CTD.

Good to see Jar's still alive. Newest version doesnt work with FF320. At least not on my side. Delivery alway tells me i got the QNH wrong even though its set correct. Taxi speed during turns seems a bit too fast for the AI as well.

Downloaded latest mac version.  Flight from Egph (Edinburgh) to Egll (Heathrow) in A320, the flight plan, departure and approach all worked without any problems.

ilankrt, when the plane turned in the wrong direction on approach for me I found I'd turned the loc on too soon. The loc diamond was the on the inside of the turn.

I am very new to X-Life but very excited so far. Even though I fly 99% GA from KMGJ, it has totally changed my flying experience. Forgot to fly for a while :lol got so busy editing home and frequent destination airports around Hudson Valley and mid New York State. Will post soon.

BETA - Truly exciting to load KLGA and close to home KSWF and see airlines that actually operate there. Even saw one (SKW) I didn't expect at KSWF but when I looked it up, they fly from there!

Just loaded beta xpl this morning. Had it running for 2+ hours while intermittently editing KSWF to get closer to IRL. A few minutes ago, I was watching the beautiful movement ballet with flights taxiing, taking off etc. when a crash occurred.

Scenario I saw was--
A JBL flight was holding during taxi while another flight was inbound to land on that rwy. The flight list was down to 2 flights (taxi & landing). List updated to 6+ flights and X-Plane crashed.

Attached zip contains: xlife.dmp, log.txt, KSWF.xlf, KSWF scenery folder with apt.dat (objects etc removed)

If you just take off without clearance smile) ATC picks you up again in the air. FM car didn't work on the destination  airport but that was only one flight.

Just did EGKK-EGCC with 2.1 beta - worked fine, no problems on a Mac with 11.05.

FFa320u dosen't provide acf QNH settings to proper x plane dataref

X-life works fine when start new flight, if I go to one airport and then I want to go on new one with new entered flight plan and ATC is accepted, then X-life make trouble. ATIS info stay on first airport even I close X-life and then load again.  In this case airport ATIS is stay the same when i start X-plane and then I dont knw right QNH an I cant fly to new destination. Can You fix this.

Can we now use "DCT" air routes ? If someone did not notice x-life didn't accept DCT routes before. For example i making flightplans with EFASS program and sometimes routes filled with DCT = direct somewhere to somewhere.

XP 11.10r2 crashed to desktop on a flight from LFPO to EDDC just before approach to EDDC.( Annoying as I was nearly finishing the flight.)
I was using X-Life 2.1b3. The flight was in the JAR A320.
The Log.txt stated the crash was caused by X-Life.
I've created a ticket and sent it to JAR with the attached Log.txt.

It seems that the last X-Life version is not stable and cause crash (3 test flights with A320/A330 XP11.05 crash!!). I am waiting to get an update....

Cheers ilankrrt, I see you are a Mac user, so it's not just me. Hopefully the update will come soon. X-Life v2.1b3 is a bit unreliable, it doesn't crash every time.

X-Plane 11.10r2 X-life b3  working well in windows 10. No crashes and ai traffic looks more realistic now smile

Just completed work on stock LIMC .xlf file, doing test run of AI aircraft and noticed aircraft short codes are missing on tower display.

X-Plane 11.05

No crash ( after installation of X-Camera).
X-Life working well and landing in Finland I found a lot of Scandinavian aircraft models in the parking lots and on taxiways.
The only annoying thing is that every time I try to flare the A320, instead to slow down gently the A320  bumps on runway mostly twice.  Flare parameter must be corrected !!!!!!
