Is there any further development or bugfixing for this plane? On XP11.05 the autopilot is not working correctly. sometime the speed goes up and up until overspeed, sometime the heading will not guide to the next waypoint. At this moment, flying with this plane makes no fun/sense. sad

Well, i don't know what i should miss.

With XP11.02 everything worked fine and with XP11.05 not. I did a downgrade (from my backup) to 11.02 and everything is fine again.

Please give me a hint. wink

Aircraft is not meant for "new" versions. We haven't heard anything from devs for months so we don't know if it will get updated for new version and what is plan with this aircraft. For me being this silent for long and closing release of Flight Factor A320 it might seem that they don't want to upgrade this product anymore because there will be too strong competition. Maybe they are planning something new?

Maybe they are waiting for stable XP 11.10rc to update the plane, because v.11.10 is a big update with many changes..I am already flying the FF A320U by the way and is very very good, but this doesn't mean I will park my JAR A320/A330,I hope they will update both of them for new XP versions..

Prior to the latest XP-11 update, I had no issues with an ILS approach landing with the A320. For the past 2 days, I’ve had issues capturing the glidescope and have spent many hours going back over notes, You-Tube videos and forums that pertain to ILS approaches with the A320. Even though it’s been frustrating, the upside is that I’ve gotten more proficient at landing the aircraft manually. No issues with the Boeing 767 and any feedback on what could possibly be the issue?

Hm, that's interesting. I always have two different flight plans, one in XL (generated by XL) and a different one in the FMGC, usually from Simbrief. I have never had a problem with that. Maybe it depends on the exact routes?

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.2 r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

In the last weeks some JAR A320 user were reasoning about the new FF A320. I was looking at videos made by some Beta tester.
On one hand this airliner model seems to fly very stable although in beta stage. however I didn't saw how it flies under bad weather conditions and how stable it descent during strong cross winds. On the other hand there are some important new features like the good designed iPad on board with internet connection(!), the pushback solution looks also very good and the route display on PFD is more clear and detailed. The MCDU seems to be a higher class of in deep going which could be a significant difference to relative simple JAR MCDU. Despite more functioning flight systems that normally are self initiated during start, the "from cold and dark" procedure, engine start, taxi and take-off as further the approach and landing are the same as in JAR model. Comparing the flight itself with JAR A320 and the FF flights, there are no significant differences !

The point is that I think JAR A320 development is terminated. That is a bad and sad decision, because FF is marching on while JAR with further developments could be a serious concurrence.

I will be very surprised if I am wrong.....

I hope you are wrong. I have the beta version of the FF A320 and the MCDU/FMGC is superb. Fully modeled Smith-Thales v1.
That said, it's Windows only still and my MacBook Pro running Windows in Bootcamp is not up to the task of flying it. I am patiently waiting for the OSX version which is being worked on right now. Still, it would be sad to loose the JD A320. But it looks like you are right. They probably don't want to compete directly with the A320 and will probably speed up the A340 development. We will only find out in time because almost never does anyone announce the termination of a product development line.

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.2 r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

I to think it will be sad if the JD A320 is finished. I've had this plane for a long time and have enjoyed it a lot. Being a Mac user I will not be able to check the FF A320 for a while, but I agree with ilankrt, from what I've seen the difference is not that much at the moment. This may change in the future. I don't know about this release, but FF do not always deliver on their promises.
I'm sure that if JD updated the A320 most of would not complain, even if there was a small update charge.

I might be a good idea if JD gave us some idea of his plans for the A320.

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.2 r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

I agree with @colina that it will be a sad end if we will not get further development of the A320 - even as a "professional" edition for   extra charge. The JAR airliner models has a big user circle and most of them like to fly this airliner. I am on of them and I prefer to stay with JAR. On the other side FF is promising a lot but I am also skeptical about it, still waiting for further development of their A350!

I have just seen the XP charts about the usage of JD aircraft models that together takes the first place in this category!
https://developer.x-plane.com/2017/02/u … ane-10-11/

It is frustrating not to know what is going on with JD - and meanwhile many of his clients are going over to FF

@ilankrt I can't tell yet what's different when flying because I haven't gotten her off the ground yet on my MacBook/Bootcamp/Windows rig. The biggest difference is that the entire acf is modeled separately from XP and most of the systems are basically implemented as a plugin. It also has a fantastic EFB including a fully functional web browser allowing us to log into Navigraph cloud charts etc. That is really cool! Also, Ground Services and complete checklists in the EFB. Another really valuable feature is the ability to save a complete aircraft state (this is possible because of the independence from XP). So you can save a state any time and get back to it later which is really useful for training purposes, like repeating a certain approach over and over until you get that crosswind landing right...
However, that different way of implementing the aircraft model also generates issues such as no usable datarefs for external devices. Also, the Mac version may take a while and in my most pessimistic mood I can even think that it may never come if there are substantial problems with generating it (i.e. if the cost of producing a Mac version outweighs the projected revenue from Mac users). That would be a major bummer. Let's hope that will not happen.
But even if the Mac version materializes I will still continue to fly the JD A320, simply because it works perfectly and I like it a lot and it allows me to use my external devices to control buttons and switches.

Hi Guys,

Following the FF A320 as well and it looks very promising.
If you guys are interested, the pushback system implemented in the plane is a free plugin and it is working very well with the JAR:

@ilankrt I have no problem with High Sierra. FPS are certainly not worse, maybe even about 10fps better on average but I don’t know if that’s MACOS or XP improvements.

Hello ilankrt, I'm a bit confused, are you talking about an update to the A320, or is it that you've updated to High Sierra that's the step forward you are looking for.
If it's an A320 update I missed that.
