Comparing these 2 pictures, I don't see any differences

He is talking about the chrome on the strut between the wheels. For example, on the jets I fly there is a variation between 3 and 5 inches of chrome showing on the strut during the walk around. This equates to 3 inches at max takeoff weight and 5 inches empty. 3 to 5 inches indicates properly serviced struts. The poster is saying that the JAR strut is showing too much chrome(strut extension).

Exactly! But yeah, we should leave such details for later. Let's first get FMC properly functional, aye?

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.1r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

MCDU definitely needs improving; the flap sound effects need looking into; systems do need a bit of an overhaul to better simulate the real thing. It's still a great aircraft that I do love flying, but that green line is preventing ILS approaches, sharp turns and bad descent rates. Would be nice to hear from JAR too, as I haven't seen anything posted from him for a while.

Yes, it's been a long-standing issue with the Jardesign A320. Hope to see it fixed soon.

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.1r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

I have to agree, there are a few problems with flight plans. There are a few airports I've found where the green line ( Flight Plan ) goes off in the complete opposite direction from the plan on take off. It should be on runway heading, but it goes off behind the aircraft. It can be sorted by going direct too after take off, but that's not the way it should be.
I think I've found three airports so far, but unfortunately I can't remember them all. One is certainly runway 23R at Manchester        ( EGCC ) with LISTO as the first waypoint.
J A R is aware, but so far it hasn't been corrected in an update.

When I press pressure button to STD go to standard value, but then i can't not set up pressure when I want to change.
How to solve this?

The point of the STD barometric pressure is that it is used above the transition altitude, so that all flight levels are standardised and not subject to pressure changes.

Therefore, you should not need to change the pressure reading until you get below the transition altitude again.  Otherwise it wouldn't be standard and would increase the chances of 2 aircraft being at the same actual altitude when their respective alt readings suggest they are not.

You can pull the knob for standard, and push it for local pressure. Then just rotate to the desired pressure. Serve ice cold.

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.1r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

After update X-Plane to 11.02r1, my JD320 decrease the SIM-fps near to 4 fps from 30fps, when i switch to outside view. The Problem does not exist, when i switch to cockpit view or when i change the SIM Aircraft (for example to Cessna). The Problem also does not exist, when i disable "Shadow on Scenery" in the Graphics Settings. In my opinion the conclusion is: JD320 V3.1 R2 does not work with X-Plane 11.02r1!
Can someone help regarding this item?

I am currently doing a stupid trans-Atlantic flight in the A320, and noticing the issue as well. Sometimes it's very bad, other times it's perfectly normal. Hopefully V3.2 can fix this and other bugs we have been reporting on, i.e. making the A320 11.02 compatible (should be done when 11.02 is final).
Edit: SASL crashed X-Plane 11, so I basically can't use the A320 to do medium-haul flights.

Your conclusion is wrong because it's the X-Plane problem which occurs with any aircraft after 11.02R1 update.

Last version of JD320 and XPLANE 11. The plane doesn't follow the flight plan correctly drawn on navigation display. FD cross bar gives wrong indications.
Thanks for help

Yes, it is wrong. It is independent of the used A/C (Aircraft). It´s depend on the zoom in X-Plane 11 in outside view. A far zoom will solve the problem: the SIM-fps increase and the shadows of all objects appear. So, it is a problem of X-Plane 11.02r1, cause near zooming to A/C has to be possible w/o shadow hiding and fps decreasing!

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.1r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

At first I want to mention - not easy for developers this time. LR changed and is still changing a lot of in XP11, some SDK are not published eg.

For this rev. of A320 - in Germany we say "verschlimmbessert", means much worser than before.

A short summery of some issues I had during several flights:

- T/O - FlexTemp, Acceleration Altitude do your inputs have any influence? I guess not or better can't see it.
- Climb - who computed 340 kts ? Resulting in overspeed and AP cutoff. And to get the right THR thereafter is a nightmare.
- LNAV and VNAV accuracy still a wish. You have to keep an eye or better both on it. STARS you better compute by yourself, often you get a nice mix or you will simply miss some.
- does anyone ever tried the hold function? Input Inbound course is not possible, the legtime you can change but at the end you have to use "compute". The result is all others than a hold. And computed the AP ignores all and will fly you into the nirvana. Better you do it in the old fashion way.....heading and clock.
- on Approach - on final, all stable, ILS/GS captured eg. - how in the hell I get Alpha Floor? THR goes to max and you climb out like a rocket. I promise, every controller will be chocked too.
- the lateral oscillations on final with correct approach speed until about 500 tf AGL are not normal. Sometimes up to 15 degr. to both sides with a steady headwind of 15 kts?

For the time - the A320 is not really reliable.

Re: JD320 Airliner ver 3.1r1,r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)

Nothing works properly for me on this version;

# Exterior lights wont come on
#TCAS/ATC panel is dead - wont do anything
# Flight director doesn't do anything, just matches my course.
# Autopilot/auto throttle doesn't work - the button will press and activate but nothing is controlled by the AP. It won't follow    my flight plan from the FMC, wont climb, maintain speed etc etc.

One day I'll load up Xplane, X-life and my favourite jet (JD A320) and just fly - no issues, no crashing, no updating every piece of software every other day, just fly. That's the dream anyway.
