I finally am on my PHNL to ZSPD flight on XL, A330.
After trying several changes to the route loaded from the aircraft into XL it turns out that XL had problems with ANY segment of the FP. So I basically had to use PHNL SID 1stWP STAR ZSPD to get it to work.
This needs to be looked at. XL should accept a flightplan loaded from the A330/320 without any issues so I consider this a bug.

So, here is the line of text that tells me that the plugin FollowMe Car has an issue;

The host name need to be resolved to get the issue resolved.

Where can I download ALL custom ATC routes for XP airports?

When I purchased my X-Life DeLuxe license, inside the downloaded xlife.zip file there was a folder called airports containing all .dat and .txt files of all custom airports.

Why does not deliver a monthly (or whatever) zipped folder with all custom ATC routes for XP airports, including updated and new ones?
I have tried to download xlife.zip again but airports folder is empty.

When you start from an Airport of approuved list , .dat and .txt files are automatically dowloaded in the X-life Airport folder .

For airports not in the list you need to download and install yourself  .dat and .txt files from proposed airports on the X-life forum.

Today new flight and X-Plane has "crashed".

As yesterday X-Life seems to be linked to this problem.
I don't understand.

The PC I used is not connected to internet; is-it a problem to use X-Life ?

After using X-Life for a while now I see several areas that need fixing or improving to better work in X-Plane.  In my case I am using X-Plane 11 final release.

Fixes Needed

  • Setup Window - The labels extend past the right edge of the display window.  It makes it tough to know what value you get when moving the slider all the way to the right.

  • Gate Editor window - inconsistent select action.   Selecting "None" deselects all checkmarks for all entries in the list.  Selecting "All" only selects entries currently visible, not "all" entries.

  • Gate Editor Window - scroll control works in reverse.  When the list control gets loaded with gates the first entry is at the top of the window as it should.  In order to scroll down the list I have to hit the scroll up button.  It also appears that the "thumb" is opposite of there it should be. Isn't this control supposed to work like it does in Windows?

Enhancements

  • Give the option to disable ATC in the setup options.

  • Give other weather options such as xEnviro and SkyMaxx.

  • Allow X-Life to work with the XPlane 11 "Draw parked aircraft" option.  That way I can have an airport loaded with both active and static planes.  I would like to have a full or almost full airport (think of KATL). Of course this would require x-Life to be aware of where static aircraft are and not draw an X-Life airplane on top of a static one.

  • Have X-Life get the Ramp Start data from the .dat, in particular the airline info.  Use this to put the correct livery at the appropriate gate. If that data isn't in the .dat file (older, non-updated sceneries) then do random airlines as it does now. 

  • When pushing back make things a bit more realistic. As it is now, the plane backs up slightly then does a 180 degree turn. This is highly unrealistic.  Maybe have the plane back up to the first node in the taxi route from Ramp Start, then turn, would be better.

Hi Xlife users

Received my Xplane 11 DVD's install OK works fine....
Also upgraded A330 A320 Xlife and GHD with the XP11 last versions.

A330 A320 and GHD work fine without any problem.

Xlife also works fine but only at the departure airport where I have traffic and static planes
at the arrival airports (payware and freeware Jar certified or not) I never see any static plane nor traffic...

I tried a lot of airports that worked fine with XP10.

After landing I shut down traffic and reactivate it again, then it's OK

Is there anything different in XP11 vs XP10 that I must do ?

Thanks for help if someone had the same issue

Airports are not automatically refreshed after activating X-Life ! (UWUU, UWWW, UWOO)

my X-Life crashed as well, at least according to my X-Plane log.txt

unfortunately I can not add any files, so what should I do now?

Hi,
why can't you add files there is a 'Browse' button down at the bottom of the webpage next to the word"Attachments" from there you should navagte to the log.txt file in the XP main folder.

then look for the dump txt also, this will take some getting use to so be pasent and take your time.
I hope this helps you, and after you up-load the files we can work on the next issue.

how about trying a rute like EGLL to a german airport a short hop over the English channal is what I would try and see if you get better results the work out from there the program is learnning...

i am absolutely new to XPlane, so maybe my question is a bit stupid.

I've installed X Life as stated in the readme:

1. X-Life Folder to XPlane11/Resources/plugins
2. OpenSceneryX Installer
3. Download Bluebell XL and move the folders to Custom Data.


I did not Update Nav-Data as i do not know what that means.


In the game, Xlife appears in the plugin folder.

Afer activating it on Heathrow, Munich and Nuremberg it always says:

Airport is not X Life verified. Please use menu and check verified airports map.

Well according to the map, at least Munich and Nuremberg should free?

Can you help me?

2. for downloading actual nav data you must have a subscription of example from Navigraph (recommended)
3. X-Life is a plugin. All plugins appears in X-Plane during flight. If you didn't buy X-Life purchase it and then you
see a bar on the left screen side. You will have to initiate deluxe (purchased) version from X-Plane plugin scroll bar..
Look at some tutorial videos, that is the best way to learn....

Hi Everybody,

X-life have perfect traffic simulation, but from ATC I miss the following features:

1. after takeoff ATC say contact approach, but did not say contact center according FIR, like Frankfurt, Vienna, etc., just when I report TOD, say me contact center and I must say again report TOD.
2. I can't request flight level change in flight.
3. I do not hear another AI aircrafts communication.
4. In flight ATC not said me that I change my flight level according semicircular/hemispheric rule to odd or even flight level.
5. I don't have to tune the radio frequencies, this is very not realistic.
6. ATC does not use real frequencies, why?
7. TCAS not show x-life aircarfts, only default AI aircrafts.

Freeware like 124th ATC is more realistic, now, but I hope the future version bring us more realistic usage.

No, i did not (yet) purchchase X-Life. First of all i am interested in the traffic simulation.



The X-Life Homepage says:

X-Life traffic is freeware. X-Life may use freeware aircraft objects libraries (not included), like OpenSceneryX. X-Life may use traffic with freeware and payware sceneries. X-Life may be used with any X-Plane aircraft. X-Life may use NavData-base what always included to X-Plane 10. X-Life have "Deluxe" additional features, like ATC, that are payware.


- So, is it absolutely necessaray to subscribe to Navigraph/NavDataPro to use X-Life?
- Do i have to download some additional airport files or something to actually activate the traffic?

Hi,

My precedent problem seems to be resolved. An "internet connection" seems to be necessary to use X-Life.

I had an other problem, X-Plane crashed and X-Life seems to be linked to it.

I didn't find the "origin" of the problem.

I put files with this message.

Do you have an idea ?

In an emergency situation, when do I need to get to the nearest airport? How do I apply to the ATC? There should be that option and the X-life give me the correct approach vectors to the runway.

Another example, when selecting to fly directly to any waypoint, X-Life could give me directions (Vectors) to get there, but today it continues on the scheduled route, ordering me to turn around at all times.
