If you want to use a key you first have to create a command in FlyWithLua using the appropriate dataref. See FWL manual

Hello!
something happened to my activation.
the 330 is not activated, but there is no activation window..
what to do?

Hello laohu314, I created some datarefs, also for the push and pull. Every key command is working and no mistakes in the script. LUA is running. But I can't push and pull any knobs.
I have a problem with jumping views. If the system writes the red warning message "Framerate is too low..." at the bottom of the screen, the view jumps to the pilot view (X-Plane shift 9). This is very annoying for me. In a detailed airport environment staying on the ground, the framerate might be low without influencing the flight characteristic. If I program the FMS I always have to change back the view.

Hi
Do you avoid to get the red message at the bottom of the screen by disabling the message in "plugins/A330/settings/disable message for low framerate" ...?

I see a strange behaviour entering a SID to my flightplan LSZH/LSGG. I attached the EFASS NG data for the flight with chosen SID VEBI1K. On the EFASS Map you can see the SID route from runway 34 up to VEBIT.
If I load the company route LSZHLSGG.txt into the a330 it logs:
new fpln full = 1 LSZH (APT) >>> 2 (T/C) (pseudo) >>> 3 VEBIT (WPT) >>> 4 ROTOS (WPT) >>> 5 BADEP (WPT) >>> 6 ULMES (WPT) >>> 7 DISC (DISC) >>> 8 (T/D) (pseudo) >>> 9 (DECEL) (pseudo) >>> 10 (SPD220) (pseudo) >>> 11 LSGG (APT) >>> DIST=124.80117
After I entered the VEBI1K SID it logs:
new fpln full = 1 LSZH (APT) >>> 2 34 (DEP_RWY) >>> 3 CA1900 (CA) >>> 4 CF341 (CALC) >>> 5 ZH570 (WPT) >>> 6 (T/C) (pseudo) >>> 7 VEBIT (WPT) >>> 8 ZH559 (WPT) >>> 9 BREGO (WPT) >>> 10 ZH554 (WPT) >>> 11 ZH558 (WPT) >>> 12 VEBIT (WPT) >>> 13 DISC (DISC) >>> 15 BADEP (WPT) >>> 16 ULMES (WPT) >>> 17 DISC (DISC) >>> 18 (T/D) (pseudo) >>> 19 (DECEL) (pseudo) >>> 20 (SPD220) (pseudo) >>> 21 LSGG (APT) >>> DIST=175.24187
This is obviously wrong; it passes VEBIT twice and makes a large circle increasing the distance of 124 miles by more than 50 miles. You can see the circle in the a330 display.

Hi
This happens from time to time with EFASS (I use it frequently).
I suggest you check that EFASS airac and A330 Airac are the same .(May be you have already checked that)
To see the profile (top view) of flight plan place the view on plan(not on arc as during flight) and starting from departure Airport of FPlan on the FMC go , step by step , to arrival Airport looking at th same time at the screen showing the route . That way you can see where you have to adjust your plan erasing what is wrong .
Hope this wil be useful (and understandable)

Hi,
you are using Efass NG public beta version...
"The beta of EFASS NG may contain many bugs..." see warning message on pict attached from efass web site
;-)
Hi !
One remark to point 2)
Hi JAR,
2) FMC managed mode sinkrate goes to infinity
Usually in autopilot mode you can select a vertical rate from -3000 to 3000 ft/min.
In managed mode, this can be much more.....
a) Program a route, say EDDH to EDDL. Set SID/STAR, FL300.
b) Takeoff, do the flight until "TOD"
c) just wait some time, say 2-5 Minutes. keep current height, FL300
d) Set new height, say 10000 ft.What happens: the FMC calculates a vertical rate to reach the height from the current waypoint. This calculation does not respect the limit.
Yesterday i did a flight which leads to >7500ft/min sinkrate :-) Sure, overspeed included :-)
By the way, sinkrates >8000 ft/min are not shown in the PFD..
best regards,
You could see this behaviour also during takeoff:
If you do a takeoff and go a little bit steeper up than you should do, you will be a little bit higher than you should be regarding to the FMC.
If you now switch on AP, the AP tries to correct this and puts your nose down even to negative climb. The result is "Terrain, Terrain! Don't Sink" warnings.
Well, also I don't have a spec ath the moment, I really can't imagine that the FMC/AP puts a plane into sink mode during takeoff.
Best regards,
Hi !
We get XP11 beta 7&8 today and I just update a330 to pb4 with a number of fixes. Sadly LR nor fix ISL/GS diamond indication. Sure, I calculate horizontal diamond DOT myself, but cant do the same for G/S diamond (no datarefs exist for this). I always send report to LR and skype to Ben personality about this. Whe thiplem is - no ILS/GS native DOT indication while acf follow NAV path.
For XP11-PB9 the ISL/GS diamond indication is not fixed...

To enrigolan and jcdp: EFASS is beta ! I mentioned EFASS only because there you can see the correct route based on the VEBI1K SID. If I use the "same" company file in the Boeing767PW-300, everything works ok and there is no problem. The whole thing has nothing to do with EFASS NG.
If I use the "same" company file in the a330 (a330 loaded it without any problem, you can see the route I copied from the Log.txt) and choose the VEBI1K SID, the a330 sw creates a complete nonsense route. I showed the nonsense route in my post copied from the Log.txt.
I assume this is a normal bug in the a330 sw which has nothing to do with X-plane 11. If you have a company route, where the first waypoint is identical to the last waypoint of the SID, the a330 sw creates complete nonsense. I assume in real life the device can handle this case like the Boeing767PW-300 sw and the EFFASS NG sw does.

Guys, Blue Sky Star Simulations A330 sound pack does work with this version, you don't need to change anything, just get the latest version using the same link provided to you when purchased, if purchased from our store. Version name should be 2.01, read the instructions and make a clean install. If bought from X-plane.org, their version must be up to date to. If you have lost the link, or link no longer works, contact amrussinc@gmail.com with proof of purchase (email used at transaction)
Regards, BSS
Thank you comrad1983 for the info. I downloaded the latest version 2.01 again thinking I had it already and would compare. I did have a 2.01 version but with a custom folder instead of a BSS folder. This might be where the confusion comes from. Did the BSS version and all works well. Thanks again. Cheers

Can you please describe that bug in detail?
I'm also beta testing the A330 and have a working ILS indication (lateral).
To get the glide slope working I have to press the LOC button which (from what I have in my mind) isn't the correct behaviour.
From my knowledge, the LOC button is just to arm the lateral guidance to
Use case 1:
Find back onto the lateral flight path when being off track while being enroute. This to get back to NAV mode.
Use case 2:
To automatically turn onto ILS course. I would like to understand, what you're observations are.

Hi !
It's described here:
http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.ph … 162#p15162
It has nothing to do with auto capture, just tune in the right frequency.

best regards,
Okay, it's the same bug I reported to Eugeny. Current workaround (but wrong behaviour) to get the vertical indication (glide slope) is - even when flying manually or in selected mode - to press the localizer button on the flight control unit.
The LOC button is to arm the flight management system for lateral navigation. To capture the localizer of an ILS or to capture the flight path (lateral only). That's how I have it in my mind from the hours I flew in a A330 full flight simulator and the "flight simulation" lessons during my studies. It's also how I read the according FCOM pages.
But to be honest, this was a couple of years ago.
Can someone please check the following 3 minutes video I recorded testing the A330 v2.0b4 with XP11pb9:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuxWxq0zFuA
Link updated, was accidently link to upload page before.
I think I can reproduce an unintended activation of the approach phase directly after takeoff.
But maybe, I'm missing something!?
Note that the represented use case may occur when pilots train touch and go's or takeoffs and landings during their time in the flight school. A scenario, where they don't follow a flight plan and just perform traffic patterns like documented in this German video about the flight school events of the Lufthansa:

So what are you expecting from the AP to do after this mess....

1:
Which steps? Help others and me to understand, what you mean. Otherwise your statement adds no value here and looks like it's just to bash myself... And note, that I paused the recording after programming the MCDU to keep the video file small and having a high resolution.
2:
Pilots decide by law, how much fuel they take on board. Even if they potentially risk their job or going to jail if something serious happens. Nobody else. 4,000 kg fuel are not much. But should be sufficient for a traffic pattern. By the way, this flight was just to provocate the unintended and automatic activation of the approach phase shortly after getting airborne.
3:
Well, I took off. No strict inhibition though. But I agree, should for sure be avoided. Be so kind and explain us why the takeoff was inhibited? I shared another video with the developer (Eugeny) which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IopwzH7_W2Q. I took off having the same T.O INHIBIT message. I expect Eugeny to concentrate on such detail, if it plays that role. We considered this video, we spoke/ wrote about my observations, but the inhibt message hasn't been mentioned by him.
4:
Yes, but why? Makes no sense to me. I mean I understand where it comes from. But is it the real behaviour? I don't know, might be. Difficult to investigate without having access to a real A330 and the chance, to make such a "flight". But can not imagine, that these messages disappear after 5 sec as shown in my video (beginning at minute 03:33).
