I updated to version 2.6 but after registration and reloading the aircraft i cannot init FMC. Got the message that DEP/ARR APT NOT FOUND. I downloaded and reinstall: same thing. Then i load the older version and everything looks fine (I'm using SBPA/SBFL). Maybe some else have the same problem? I use X-Plane 10 on Linux (Debian Jessie), can it be a problem?

I've encountered that as well. The solution is to wait until the nav system is in sync.  What I do is go and set up other things while that is going on. I then go back and enter my dep and then it works.
At first I felt the same way but I just continuously clicked DEP until it worked lol....and it did smile
So, the real solution is just wait until the nav system catches up...about two minutes more.

I've tried that but for me it does not work. I found another user with the same problem, after i looked at the log file:

[SASL ERROR] Error updating avionics: [string "/home/sal/X-Plane 10/Aircraft/Other/320neo_JA..."]:0: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value

Some trouble updating avionics...

Same issue here, also the engine cover/static ground elements and 00.00 altimeter reading as well. Did you have any luck resolving?

I'm also using Linux and fear that v2.5 might be the end of the line for Linux users, as it's not officially supported. Are other non-Linux users experiencing the same? Could it be a navdata related problem, given that XP navdata is now being used? (I have Navigraph installed).

EDIT - Looks like there is a new plugin folder w/ v2.6, with no lin.xpl included (see screenshot).

Linux users you are in luck!

I thought back to v2.5r1 and realized that I had to manually rename my navdata files with lowercase letters, or else I would receive the same DEP/ARR error. I solved the DEP/ARR issue with v2.6r1 by simply going into X-Plane/Custom Data/GNS430, making a copy of all the .txt navdata files and renaming with all lower case letters (e.g. Airports.txt -> airport.txt).

I haven't done a full test flight yet but after COPYING/renaming the .txt navdata files, the DEP/ARR error is gone, the SASL arithmetic error is gone and the static elements disappear.

It's too early to claim victory but it looks good!

J.A. - I know Linux isn't officially supported but is this indicative of an easy code update to maintain compatibility? Other products that use this data (e.g. FF & the GNS430) don't have an issue with the file case in Linux.

Thanks!

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 2.6 r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Good day,
the latest version 2.6r2 with the latest version of Navigraph data 1605 is freezing the X-Plane app and will not load after the first screen loads. I can't even give a log.txt because I'm not able to complete the loading of the app and have to shut-down the computer.

Now is this the aircraft or the nav Data can't tell yet.
also this is a repeatable Bug as, someone on the X-Plane.org has reported also, and this is why I am now writing this bug report.

1) load a fresh copy of the 2.6r2 A320Ne register the copy.
2) put the Navigraph data cycle update to 1605 which is now the current cycle.
3) load aircraft and here is where the X-Plane app will not load all the way.

thank-you for the support,

captbullett

I do not have this problem on my MacBook Pro, 2.6r2 (replaced only the files indicated, not new clean installed) and AIRAC 1605 Navigraph.

Good day,
This is hard to tell since both updates happened at the same time and I am going to have to pull nav data from external HD to see what will happen.

Ps, never had any nav data issue really... until now ...

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 2.6 r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Tried flying the new version today.  However, it's not reading flight plans correctly.  It appears to load the plan correctly, but then only shows the departure airport, a discontinuity and the arrival airport.   All the waypoints are missing.  I tried this with several flight plans and all were the same.  I'm using Navigraph 1605.

Working fine on the A330 so it seems to be A320 specific.

Here's a bbox file if it helps.

Re: a320neo JARDesign ver 2.6 r2 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi,
I noticed recently that XP Real Weather is not working anymore. It automatically switches back to "set weather uniformly" whenever I load the A320v2.6r2. It doesn't happen with any other aircraft. So is the A320 now changing the weather itself because that would turn off the real weather function in XP?
In any case thats not good because I now cannot get any real weather and I get a message from XL telling me to turn on Real Weather ...
What can I do?
Many thanks for your help!

EDIT:
Problem solved.
I had some weather datarefs defined as "writeable" in FWL for a function that sets Hi-Flow on when Temp is Hi or conditions are humid (according to FCOM). Changing them to "readonly" solved the problem.

I believe UFMC is not compatible with this aircraft and also not needed because the A320neo has a ully functional FMGS (SIDs, STARs, the works..)
