Wow! I will talk to ATC Need think about it.. may be need change some in code..
You won't believe, what happened today at LSZH: Edelweiss 140, you're number 2 after Airbus A320, waiting time 7minutes
Good day,
can you try different settings (in X-Life settings) in the timing of runway time as 1 and 1/2 mins this is the setting I use and if you take to long at the gate starting things it can effect the timing so I would try some more of the same route and with different settings also do a back route to get the computer use to the route.
some of this is trial and error and only you can do the testing on your computer because of the specks on the computer build.
i hope this helps you to understand the nature of how this plugin works its tuned to your computer...
BrianPs, please keep me posted and I will work with you to get it fine tuned...
Hello,
will check tomorrow. Last time it didn't let me change runway time, every time, when I was switching under 2mins. it went back to two minutes.
Will report again Thanks for your input!
Cheers
Thomas

thumbs up!
CTD while setting up at KBOS
I would like to ask test pilots to add X-Plane version, Aircraft model and used hardware.
Please make for yourself a "visit card" to use every time you are posting your results.
(I know that we could read it from the log.txt but doing so it is easier to handle...)
Thanks for cooperating
Good evening
Today Flight from LFMN to LICC
BSS 2.0 very beautiful.
X-Life release candidate 1 for ver 1.0 also OK. It's wonderful
But I encountered a problem :
I have checked the runways for departure and landing with the editor
I had selected runway 04R for takeoff and 04L for landing
But ATC told me to taxi and hold short runway 04L for take off ??
ATC is also not controlled by the editor ?
Thanks a lot for your help
Another CTD while taxiing to runway. This is getting frustrating!
MacBook Pro, OSX 10.11.4, Saitek X52, Radio, Switch and Multi Panel, TM Cougar, XP 10.45, JAR A320neo 2.6b4
Crash while watching AI taxiing. Also I've a problem with landing aircraft waiting for other aircraft just after turned off the runway (runwaybusy). I cannot find the aircraft which the other aircrafts is waiting for anywhere on the airport.
The crash happened two times in a row, and the waiting bug seems to not go away.
Adding dump and log file, aswell as the ESGG.dat (apt.dat) and ESGG.txt (note the ESGG.dat is still in development, as I need to 'uname' some taxiways).
The airport scenery I'm using is the X-Plane default for ESGG by bbus: https://gateway.x-plane.com/scenery/page/ESGG
(does not need to be downloaded if you are using the most recent version of X-Plane).

This is not for user selection. It is state of runway for all aircrafts. Gate Editor not allow you to select runway - it is an Airport tool. Runway selected by ATC (this time) for you.
Test flight ESSA - EPVA
X-Plane 10.45
X-Life rc1.0
iMac27
No crash, flight plan created and distributed. FollowMe car functionality OK.
ESSA: busy aviation at the airport around and lively taxi traffic. Correct designed taxi ways and runway.
EPVA: sparse aviation over airport and on taxi ways.
Taxi ways to runways and between them are not position correctly. Same concerning the 2 runways.
Aircrafts are landing at the edge of the runway instead in the middle, then clearing to taxi ways traffic on
gras beside the taxi ways need to be correct.
Both airports sceneries are very well designed.
I spent already nearly 100$ for the prepared payware airports. They are worth their price and I hope to see their number growing. But there are also a lote of high qualitative sceneries of big airports designed for free. They should also be prepared for ATC and traffic. Personally I am very sorry that I have no idea on how to design airports and taxi ways.....
Hi,
Flight LFML to LIRF
TO by ATC ruway 13L
SID NASI 4B
flight plan (by the software PFPX) : NASIK UP 856 NIRDO UP991 NORKA UL127 CAPCO A3 MIRSA L127 ELB UL146 ELKAP
Delivery told me Initial Altitude 7000 feet but on official charts for nasik 4B (6.5% to FL 120) the initial altitude climb is 5000
This is not he first times that initial altitudes given by atc is wrong
thanks a lot in advance

EPWA? There is 2 different sceneries - payware and freeware. ATC-taxiroutes prepared for freeware airport. They are not exact copy of each other. So, you may (and should) see wrong placed traffic.

ATC not read charts. A future task - read constrains of SID/STARs.

Hi JAR
I think we should discuss in some cases what version to prefer, the payware ore the free one.
On one side for many user 20$ for one airport design is a lot of money. On the other side, if we as customer
wil prefer only the free version, there will be no professional High quality sceneries any more.
In case of EPWA I personally think it is obvious that the pay ware version should be the preferred one
to prepare for using X-Life. The free version is built in 2010 and not updated since then. It don't present the
quality we are used to get today even from free ware. In this case I decided to purchase the newer qualitativ
much higher version.

This is a users choice - use payware scenery or freeware scenery. Anyway - user can put .dat and .txt to X-Life/Airports/ folder and this EPWA.dat + EPWA.txt may be prepared for payware or freeware scenery. Now I am not see any EPWA.dat + EPWA.txt for payware scenery. May be someone will post it for another users.
I am sorry having a mistake !
EPWA that I used is a freeware made bei the talent tdg sceneries designer.

As I wrote in the previous post, I had constant crashes. I think I have localized the bug as I noticed X-Life crashes everytime when an aircraft stops or approaching the holding point before takeoff. The taxiroutes Ihave built for ESGG have several route-lines (which is set as runway taxi routes, red color) from holding point to runway main taxi route, and I think that is the main problem.
I think I understand now that X-Life sets the holding point automatically for the first non-runway taxi route connecting to a taxi runway route, or more easily explained, it prefers just an one long red runway taxiline. So I did remove all the red taxi routes connecting with the runway taxi route, and replaced them with just one normal taxiroute from the preferred holdingpoint. Now everything works perfectly with no crashes.
The downside with this is you cannot create nice curved taxiroutes on to the runway if your holding point is far from the runway, according to some charts.
I hope you understand.
Possible update for the future - is it possible to have the user chose the type of aircraft and airlines at a particular airport? This would add more realism. At the moment, I'm seeing B727s and regional aircraft from the US and Middle East at EIDW which isn't very realistic. Just an idea.

Yup, got it. Spoke to Eugeny recently and that's what he said too. Also had some weird lines in the KBOS.txt file which may be due to ramp names being too long. Fixed that too and now, so far, no CTD

Very good write up but log.txt also gives flight data for timing and this looks like a timing issue also , and yes I too have seen this at times but also think it is when I do something wrong in set-up of sim...

Hello,
i have had a problem yesterday. There was a plane at hold point and ATC ask me go on runway. I must go thrue the plane because it had never move.

Understand. To avoid this, you should not report approaching HP if you have some aircrafts in stack for Departure.
