Re: Availiabel airports

Yes, these are the compatible airports if you want to use ATC. You can use these with the default scenery but there will be differences in the taxiways and ramp starts so I would advise to use the sceneries for which the .dat files were made.

Re: Availiabel airports

Hi haas2

the necessary .dat and .txt files get downloaded automatically from the JARDesign server. The .dat files contain ramp start position, ATC taxi routes and the runway data for the respective airport.
The .txt files contain information on the acceptable size of AI aircraft for each ramp start and can be modified with the Gate Editor that comes with X-Life. You can also modify the .dat files with WorldEditor (WED) from Laminar Research. There are instructions on the top of this sub forum (http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1670).

Re: Availiabel airports

On the map, click on any airport (star) you want, and a side bar pops up on the left that shows you the links to all the relevant files. Download the scenery to your XP11 Custom Scenery folder. That's all you need to do.

Re: Availiabel airports

and the dat txt is then added automatically?

but for example: for EDDF the files which are offered whrn i cl7cl the strar are from 2015....also older than the scenerys in the xplane 11...?

Re: Availiabel airports

for scenery not on the approved map, you have to generate the .txt file yourself with Gate Editor (within X-Life).
It is possible that there are newer sceneries than the .dat files where made for. You'd have to check them out in WED to see if they are sufficiently similar to use with the provided .dat file. Once you get the hang of it, it is also not too difficult to adapt the .dat files to a newer scenery.
