Thanks JAR for update

X-Plane 10.42r1 (64-bit build 104200)
Windows 10.0 (build 10240/2) 64-bit version of Windows.

Activation works ok, no problem.

Would be better that aircraft read a new navdata  from this directory:

I am going to do test flight.

Are you use Hot-Start may be?

Negative, I always start up everything manually - from the ramp with engines off. Also, I noticed that when I start the alignment of the ADIRS, the ND display changed to "GPS PRIMARY NOT AVAILABLE" as it should be. But directly after turning batteries & ground power on, the ND is align.

Yes, reading from this directory would work better, even the navigraph updater installs by default to the Custom Data\GNS430\navdata directory.

Flight from EGLC to EIDW.  When I reached LIPGO on the flight plan, it just continued straight on and ignored the next waypoint.  Had to press and pull the altitude button to get it to veer back on course.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 1 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Flew my first flight with the new beta tonight. I see a lot of improvements to the flight system. Plane was predicting the turns and stayed on course the entire flight.

Flight Plan:
KTPA ENDED7 CTY J91 ATL SLGGR GIIBS1 KIND

Departed runway 01R
Landed runway 23L

Overall one of the best flights I've done in this plane. Everything MCDU-wise seemed to work great. Descent was good, followed the descent profile of the STAR. It was also adhering to speed restrictions which I thought was vastly improved. I was also able to fly direct to a waypoint from my current position even if the waypoint was already active. Previous versions didn't allow this.

A couple of notes:
I too have the PFD available right away without having to wait for the ADIRS to be aligned.
Before Takeoff checklist is now asking that Packs be set to ON. Previous versions it wanted Packs to be OFF. I'm not sure which is right, I just know it is different.
BSS Sounds are working great with this version
I agree with ivota on the location of the navdata. Laminar purposely changed the update location to avoid conflicts with the X-Plane updater overwriting NavData. Hopefully this can be modified to look into the standard location instead.

Finally - A huge Thank You to JAR! This plane is getting better with each revision. A lot of developers wouldn't keep developing a product like you have over a long period of time. The A320 is my favorite modern airliner for X-Plane and I love how it keeps being improved.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 1 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Using v2.6 Beta 1 with XP10.41 and 10.42 the green line representing the flight path on the ND still shows a misalignment with the actual flight path the issue is worse on longer sectors (i.e. over 100NM between waypoints). The alignment is correct at the start of the sector and also at the end, but its at its worse in the middle of the sector.

This suggests to me that the developer is using a Create Circle algorithm to determine the position of the green line on the ND between the previous and next waypoints, which I think is wrong. The Great Circle path is allowed for in the waypoints which should be joined together using straight lines and not Great Circle lines.

http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1255/t/p1a50o1d3n1g8a41o1lhs18k119v63.jpg

Other than that this is a good update with a fix for the SASL error causing XP top crash whilst unloading the A320. Great!!!

If Laminar would now fix the weather mess they left behind in 10.4 we should be sweet.

Hi,
first short flight (egcc-eham), all work fine...very veryhappy for new MCDU..amazing!

The only bad news, about me, is bad FPS, with this release i've lost 8 fps

Thanks far all

Yes I found out that at the end.. unfortunately this is not correct behaviour original CRZ FL should remain, so maybe update FMS logic

More bugs:

- When making flight plan sometimes ATC will issue straight out departure on the FMC you can choose departure runway with no SID and no transition, however the F-PLN discontinuity between the departure and the rest of the trip is impossible to remove, the only way to remove is to actually enter a SID. This is a problem when departing from airports where no SIDs are currently published

- On Perf page when using very long runways it is valid to use flaps 0 for takeoff , many airlines which operate a320 use this in order to save fuel, currently the FMS accepts flaps 0 as an option but the ECAM memo never goes blue it stays green waiting for flaps config , if you try to change back to flaps 1 or 2 and lower flaps the ECAM will not go blue with any combination available

Fly by wire logic is not working correctly in flight, when flying manually once I establish a pitch the plane never stays at the initial fpm so it is always either climbing or descending depending the situation

FBW logic should keep the aircraft trimmed and with a fixed feet per minute vertical speed (either positive neutral or negative)

After initial rotation FBW dosent keep the nose up at the desired pitch angle, it always dips into the ground unless constant pitch correction is applied

On landing when using the Vref calculated on the FMC the plane glides and floats a lot making it impossible to land on touchdown zone unles you cut engines way earlier (but resulting on a heavy landing)

So do i and "TA Only", activated by default

Indicates TA only  - mode is selected or the RA function is inhibited or failed. With TA/RA selected, the message appears automatically during climb until 1100 feet AGL and on descent below 900 feet AGL when the TCAS automatically switches to the TA ONLY mode.

TCAS position TA - TA /RA shows always 'TA only' at ND.

I hadn't enough time to install BSS sounds.. tomorrow more!

Cheers from Spain.
