Hello there,

I was using my A320 for the first time after I upgraded to the copilot version. After I took Off the copilot stop doing the procedures saying that I need to register my copy. Is it a payware? I inserted my A320 key as per your instructions before I started this flight and I don't have a key for this plugin. I thought it was free like the A330 one.
Sorry to bother!

Hi! The plugin is still in beta, in the future it will be paid. To get the key for the beta, contact the Skype developer.

thank you very much for your reply.

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

Hi,

First off - Great work team, a very useful and innovative plug in!

I completed two full flights already using Sandy from cold and dark to shut down. Overall he works well very but I ran into just a couple off issues:

1. The flight control check list doesn't always complete first time. I found taking it slower helps but not always. Moving the joystick through the check again once its stuck seems to resolve it. This also happened on the 330 just the same.

2. In the descent ATC asked me to slow down so I went into managed speed mode but by the time I ran the Landing checklist I was back in managed mode. The check list insisted I read back 'OFF'when it should have been 'SPEED'

3. It should be possible to move the checklist text or turn it off in some sort of expert mode. The offset for the text and the flag to turn it on/off can be in an .ini or .cfg file as this is for advanced users.

4. He works a bit slowly. I sped up the speech text and this helps with the check list but not with procedures.

That's all for now, if I  find anything else I will update this or post again.

Kind regards, Chris

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

Since at most airports APU start is deferred until just before Engine Start for environmental reasons, would it be possible to add the option of a Airconditioning unit (ACU, low pressure conditioned air) as part of the Ground Services? That would be great!

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but during Preliminary Cockpit Preparation, when the Accumulator Pressure is checked and the Parking Brake is released, the Ground Power is automatically disconnected and cannot be connected again until the parking brake is set again. Can this be changed?

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

Hi guys, is anyone experiencing with a320 vs 332 that the aircraft doesn't follow the planned route at takeoff and approach? Nav data fully up to date with navigraph. Example: Fly LPPT to LPFR (35 min air time), FL 190, 5000kg fuel, takeoff runway 3, Sid TROI5N, route TROIA A5 ODEMI Y101 USALU, star USALU6C, Runway 10 (ILS APP).
Beside that the airplane doesn't reach cruise alt at TOC (always around 3000ft below).
No announcement for "we are close to TOD".
Not activating automatically Approach fase.
Can anybody test this to see if I;m doing anything wrong. (I don't think it's me, but.... I fly this route with new Airplanes because I know it like the palms of my hands. Any runway, every app on both airports, it's where I learned to fly in real life (PPL).

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

Just got my new Logitech G433 headset. Now the co-pilot doesn't recognize any commands that are more than one word. I'm not happy.
Any ideas to fix this?

I made a modification to the ADIRS procedure in the Cockpit Preparation:
It now waits for the ADIRS to go "Off battery" before turning the next one on. I also changed the sequence so that IR2 is turn on second, even though it is located on the far right and IR3 (in the middle) is turned on last. Lastly, I added the SYS and DATA knobs to be turned to the correct position and the ENT button to be pressed as per procedure.
@WindSocks, it would be great to have position (pos:) values for the two knobs and the button

I also want to express my huge appreciation for what you guys have achieved!

A question:

After "aborting" the co-pilot, how does one "resume" him? I aborted because of an issue and could not get started again with procedures. Checklists work, the input is correctly recognized but the co-pilot does not resume activity.

Hmm... Shouldn't be a problem.

Because sometimes happens, that I misunderstood, it would be good if I could be the wrong command cancelled.
In before TAKE OFF PROCEDURES I miss TURN ATC from "STBY" to "ON".
Are the AFTER LANDING PROCEDURES could be done automatic by copilot when I leave the runway ?

AFTER LANDING PROCEDURES start to run after you remove the spoilers.

In TAKE OFF PROCEDURES I included next commands from BeforeTakeoff_TL checklist and now I have ATC ON

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

I have been noticing an issue when the copilot says you need to check flight controls and I do, (this is during manually going through procedures) the copilot does not acknowledge that I am checking all the flight controls and proceed any further.

Re: CoPilot Beta-tests

@jeffleh, my understanding is that the Taxi Procedure requires that you have previously completed the Flight Controls Checklist. That is how it is set up. Otherwise it would be difficult for the Taxi Procedure to "know" that you have successfully completed the fight controls check.
