Hello.

I'm having CTD loading version "2.4b3", even moving the plane to Aircraft folder and renaming to "A320". I also tryed to remove all plugins without success. My log.txt is attached to this post.

Kind Regards,
João

As the problem is - too long path, this should help
move sim folder from
E:/fsim/X-Plane/X-Plane 10/
to
E:/X-Plane 10/

In my case is Steam version. the sim is at c:/Steam/Steamapps/Common/X-Plane 10

Re: ver 2.4 beta 3 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi, just add my report: Did the following on my 320Ver2.4b3, Win7-64, XP10.36 installation:

  - be sure, what you use X-Plane 10.36 or later
  - copy unziped "320neo_JARDesign" folder to ..\X-Plane 10\Aircraft\ folder
  - start X-Plane 64 bit and open a320, activation window is show up
  - enter you serial key (Regcode), click NEXT and reopen aircraft via X-Plane menu
  - activation will work well with both MAC/WIN 64 bit

But on Reloading the aircraft and it CTD'd!!!.
Attached Log,txt the last few lines were:

SASL ERROR: Error loading panel: not enough memory
--=={This application has crashed because of the plugin: SASL}==--

Note: path was H:/X-Plane 10 R1/Aircraft/320neo_JARDesign
So it is relatively short allready.

Ok, so I rename try shortening the path to:
H:/X-Plane 10 R1/Aircraft/320
And it now loads ok!! smile

Note I also tried a few variations on paths:
H:/X-Plane 10 R1/Aircraft/320neo_JARDesign..............CTD!!
H:/X-Plane 10 R1/Aircraft/320.......................................Loads OK
H:/X-Plane 10 R1/Aircraft/320_JD.................................Loads OK.

Re: ver 2.4 beta 3 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Just a question: why?

29 (edited by jetstream2x4 2015-05-29 16:04:43)

Re: ver 2.4 beta 3 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Did a flight from EDDV to EDDS according to JARDesign flight school tutorial, this time under stormy weather conditions. It was interesting, as you would say in England.

Stability on ground was okay, also during takeoff run - I still have the feeling that I have a better grip on the runway under stormy conditions with the 2.4 than with the 2.3. Version. But still - electronic Noise from the Stick is an issue.

Once in flight things got ... ehm, let me say, extremly shaky ... According to my opinion, the flight model of the A320 still seems pretty vulnerable to bad weather conditions - with sidewinds and windsheers pressing you up to 30 degrees, in some cases even up to 40 degrees bank ... May be a Real life Pilot could tell better if such reactions to turbulences are realistic... (Needed a Vodka after that flight.)

Transitions were displayed in Vias, but worked so far. Last point of flight plan was LBU with the following MCDU FPLAN Approach route "Runway 25/no star / LBU25 Transition". On first glance, their arrangement looked logic and followed Transition Pattern of EDDS. So nothing to complain currently, except that the transition was displayed in via.

Vertical descent profile was pretty nice and stable due to transitional approach. Haven´t to report any issues here.

One Bug I recognized - you can set auto break to MAX during flight. Should not be possible in A320.

Landing: to be true - since weather effects seemed to multiply during approach, a stable, ILS-Approach was not possible, ending in AP Disconnect and Go-Around. What could be observed was that Weather effects on plane multiplied with passenger tossed through cabin, due to bank.

Last thing - I checked out some Barometer Values at four or five german airports. QNH-based Altitude-calculation looked more precise in V2.4 than in the 2.3.  Deviations in 2.4 ranged between 20 and 40 feet, compared to published airport elevation. Yet - if somebody wants to be extremly precise and stick to official regulations, a deviation of 40 feet compared to charts would still be too much.

Re: ver 2.4 beta 3 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Rodrigo, what you also can try is the following:

Unzip the A320neoJD_V2.4b3.zip-File via the following procedure.

1. Right click Zip-File
2. In the menu, that opens, choose "Unpack to A320neoJD_V2.4b3.zip/"
3. Move the "A320neoJD_V2.4b3-Folder", you have generated, without any changes to "Aircraft/Heavy Metal-Folder

So you will have a seperate folder just above your A320neo-Mainfolder.

I do not know why, but this solution also works in my case.

May be that helps.

Maybe need try the same trick as for Windows?

replace from
/Users/theodumoulin/X-Plane 10/Aircraft/Heavy Metal/A320neo24beta3/
to
/Users/theodumoulin/X-Plane 10/Aircraft/A320/

I tried this method. No luck. CTD as soon as I loaded the aircraft.

CTD "SASL ERROR: Error loading panel: not enough memory"

Could it be related to:
"X-Plane scriptable avionics library plugin snapshot 2.1.0 20150527 Commercial Edition"
versus
"X-Plane scriptable avionics library plugin v2.0.2 Commercial Edition"?

Did a first flight with 2.4 beta 3 WIN today. Very good flight no issues and the new FBW is absolutly well done. Handflying just perfect. Thanks so far for the update. Keep on the good work.

Re: ver 2.4 beta 3 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Just flown a hop from EGLL to EGPH.
The FBW seems a lot more accurate now: hand flying the approach was a real joy and the first officer call-outs are very helpful even if he was a little too insistent about the need for more drag.
All worked beautifully so well done JAR!!

Forgot to mention: quite a few stutters during the flight. Turned off HDR and all was smooth.
(I do have a fast system, 16 Gb high speed ram and a 3 Gb Nvidia 780 btw)
