Topic: AVROLINER RJ100 v7.6_424 (Avroliner Project)

In order to get the SET file loaded for this specific aircraft a minor modification in the .acf file is required. The reason is, that the aircraft description "BAE/Avro RJ 100" cointains a "/" and since the GHD plugin creates the .SET file name using this text, the SET file can not be read or created correctly, as "/" is not valid to be used in a file name. This can be corrected easily by doing a minor modification (text editor) in the AvroRJ100.acf file (located in the aircraft folder). Simply locate the "_descrip" tag using the search function and then replace the "/" by "-" as shown below. Guess that could be also done with planemaker instead. It is recommended to do backup of this file before doing the modification in any case.

OLD: _descrip BAE/Avro RJ 100
NEW: _descrip BAE-Avro RJ 100
(simply change the "/" to "-")

The SET file also fully controls the doors, stairs and baggage doors (with baggage cart and additional fuel truck included to the aircraft). Below list shows the order of ground handling activities (MM:SS):

DRIVE UP
00:00 GPU connect, main doors open, stairs down
02:30 fuel truck arrives and starts fuelling
03:30 catering truck arrives (parks behind aircraft)
04:00 baggage doors open (also activates the baggage cart and fuel truck included to the aircraft)
07:00 baggage loader arrives
09:00 van arrives at backward cabin door (remaining crew, passengers who need assistance, ...)
14:30 terminal bus with passengers arrives at forward cabin door

DRIVE AWAY
00:00 fuel truck leaves
01:30 catering truck leaves
03:00 loader leaves and baggage doors close (baggage cart and fuel truck included to the aircraft disappear)
04:00 van leaves
04:10 terminal bus leaves, cabin doors close

The delays can be simply changed in GHD. The initial distance for the drive up is set to 1000 and the drive away distance is set to 500, which also could be changed, if you prefer the vehicles to park more close to the aircraft.

Re: AVROLINER RJ100 v7.6_424 (Avroliner Project)

Hi!
In your text about RJ100 you mention we have to modify thr zcf file like this
OLD: _descrip BAE/Avro RJ 100
NEW: _descrip BAE-Avro RJ 100
(simply change the "/" to "-")

But in my version Avro RJ100 3D XP
The _descrip is the follow one:
acf/_descrip Avro RJ 100

What is to be done exactly in that case ?

Thank you
Cheers

Re: AVROLINER RJ100 v7.6_424 (Avroliner Project)

Dear Gérard,

in your case you do not have to modify the .acf file, as the _descrip string does not contain any "/". You simply have to rename the .SET file from BAE-AvroRJ100.set to AvroRJ100.set (so the whole string as used for _descrip, simply removing all blanks). Hope the SET file will work properly with your version of the aircraft. If you need any further help, please post again.

Cheers,
Michael
