Topic: FMGS/Navigation/Autopilot-problems
Dear all,
I have been flying Jardesign A320 for almost a year. I have learned a lot how to use, navigate and control the aircraft.
I am confronted with more and more problems, which I can not answer.
It starts with a simple flight: IFR from EDDK to EDDF, FL120.
The route is as follows: EDDK - SID - COL - T911 - ROLIS - STAR - EDDF.
I select RWY32R and for SID: COL2B.
I follow the procedure as from the checklist.
FMGS programming:
INIT page
- from / to: EDDK / EDDF
- flt nbr: XXXXX
- cost index: 25
- crz fl: 120 -> FL120
next page:
zfwcg / zfw: click
block: click
PERF page
- drt to - flx to: 67
- flaps / ths: 2 / dn1.3
- v1: 136
- Fri: 141
- v2: 154
F-PLN
click on EDDK, departure, 32R, COL2B, NO TRANS, TMPY F_PLN
message: 'NEW CRZ FL', why? I just have not finished the flight plan yet.
click on INSERT
According to COL2B, the route is: DK034 - CA700 - DK039 - DK035 - DK037 - COL.
Note: 'DK037' is white highlighted. Why? The route is still running from RWY32R?
Click on COL, AIRWAYS and I put in T911 for VIA and ROLIS for TO. Then click on TMPY and INSERT
Click on EDDF for the STAR:
I select ILS25RZ, ROL25N, NOVIA, NO TRANS, TMPY F-PLN and TMPY INSERT.
Message: 'NEW CRZ FL' for the 2nd time. Why? Any idea?
Now COL is white highlighted.
I go to INIT page to change the FL to FL120
The route of ROL25N: ROLIS - ETARU - DF403 -DF411 - DF416 - DF426 - DF422 - NIBAP - RW25R.
I follow the Engine Start checklist up to the Take-Off.
The flight plan looks like this:
EDDK 0000 / * 302
32R 0003 / * 302
DK034 0004 /1969
CA700 0004 /2025
DK039 0004 /2495
DK035 0005 /2991
DK037 0007 /FL083
(T / C) 0009 /*FL120
COL 0009 /FL120
ROLIS 0013 /FL120
ETARU 0015 /FL120
DF403 0018 /FL120
DF411 0021 /FL120
(T / D) 0023 /FL120
(RED250) 0023 /FL104
DF416 0024 /FL101
(LIM) 0024 /FL100
DF426 0025 /FL090
DF422 0028 /4721
(DECEL) 0029 /3398
NIBAP 0030 /3335
(SPD220) 0031 /2750
RWR25R 0033 /*364
EDDF 0038 /*364
After take-off, the autopilot switched on at 900ft, the aircraft turns right towards COL (?). COL is still white highlighted. Why does not the aircraft follow the route according to SID COL2B (DK034 - CA700 - DK039 - DK035 - DK037 - COL)?
After COL, the autopilot follows the described route up to DF416. The aircraft turns to the right, tries to reach (LIM), but it does already passed, then turns to left and maintain a course of 160. The aircraft will never reach the next waypoint DF426 and never land on EDDF.
This scenario is reproducible. What am I doing wrong?
Looking forward to the quick response. Thanks in advance.
