Topic: How to generate/find apt.dat files for vanilla (2d and 3d) airports?

Hello,

First thanks for making this very interesting tool, it's very easy to work with (when I can get it to work without crashing my simulation) and it's a very power tool for expanding Xlife which injects so much life into X-Plane's barren environment

I've been trying to use the airport editor during my travels in x plane just to see if I can populate a few small airports and I've noticed that airports/airfields that have no apt.dat file cause a crash to desktop.

Firstly, is this lack of an apt.dat file causing my CTDs? (I've looked in the log and everything to be fine except for the line "Can't find apt.dat."

Secondly, Is there some quick and easy way to generate an apt.dat file for vanilla airports? Or will I have to use WED to find their locations and create an airport.dat manually before opening them in the airport editor. If so, how do I find an airport I want to work on?

I'm using XP11 on Windows 10 64bit.

Nevermind, I got it figured out and set up my first two airports stoday. Still can't figure out how to make an airport in WED but that's a problem for another forum.
