Re: JD330 Airliner ver 2.0r1 WIN/MAC 64 bit (X-Plane 11)
+1 on spoiler not working. Did two flights today. On first one no issues, on second one spoliers did not extend.

10 hours into PHNL to ZSPD. Tested speed brakes after an hour and a half and they are NOT working. ECAM says SPEEDBRAKE but
EFIS shows no speed brakes, external view shows no speed brakes and there is NO DRAG.
This will be a fun landing after a descent from FL380. I guess I'll start 250 miles out...
Om my way from EDDH to ENGM FL280 descending in30min trying out speedbrakes (working until now)
This time SB working ?! I cannot see anything that influence this functioning. Everything made was as usually....
BTW I am sorry that no one from this site took part on Twitch to look at the approach, only visitors of my blog :-(
ERROR FOUND:
When I tried to enter waypoint altitude constraint: 23000-21000 it gave me SASL plugin error. Note was visible for brief moment and repeated when I pushed the button (RSK).

Hi, I would like to see your approach online or in a video. It will be very interesting how did you manages your descent without speedbrakes from this FL. I don't think it is even possible to reach 10000 ft alive.....:-)
So.. last week, during several flights i was trying to get speedbrake issue, but no luck. So, i feel i need ask someone try to call me in the moment when issue happen via skype j.a.romanov
Please install DataRefEditor plugin before to be possible to check datarefs state online.

Last week flights: round trip UUEE-ZSPD, UUEE-ULLI and testing flights offline.
I have not any problems with speedbreak - works fine.
@J.A.Romanov
I did approx. 15 flights since purchase. All on 2.0rc1 and only once I've faced it. It seems flight lenght doesn't play a role. What I would be aiming at to replicate - I'm almost sure on the flight it happened I did not test speedbrake extending on ground, I've just armed them. On following flights (when they always worked) I did this on-ground testing and it worked afterwards.
Ps. Great plane, comming to be my faivourite one by the way it handles in flight and during landing.
Ps.2 - I've addressed it in ticket, however others may be interested in this as well:
1. I don't see level off prediction indicators (after setting desired ALT value) - is this an error or missing feature? Is this going to be implemented soon? Makes flying hard.
2. Plane does not always respect ALT constraints (and I'm respecting CLB mode, not in CLB OP), it is also not possible to input ALT range, for example 23000-21000.
3. Plane does not allw to input waypoint speed constraints.
Thank you Sir / Spasiba

Thanks for report. I make 3-5 short flights per day and 1-2 long 1000+ nm and cant get speedbrake issues. Sadly, cause i cant make diagnostic.
1. level off prediction indicators.. can you attach foto/video/doc to understand well what did you mean!?
2. will check alt constrains entering
3. no speed constrains implemented to 320/330 now. We expect this first time for a340

Sorry, didn't make a video. I started descent from FL400 (after stepping up from FL340 around half way in) about 250 miles out. No issue descending. Because I started early descent was at about 900-1000fpm and speed was kept at about 300kts. At 15000 I pulled the Speed button and reduced speed to 220 which worked well (the AC leveled off a bit to bleed speed and then descent continued at about 900 fpm. At 8000' I pushed the Speed button and activated Approach Phase on the MCDU. From then on fully managed descent without any problems all the way to a perfect landing at ZSPD.
@J.A.Romanov
Dear Mr. Romanov - what I meant by level off prediction I mean so called "hockey sticks". I can see TOC/TOD points on my NAV screen in ARC mode, but those seem to be fixed by FMC (as a result of Flight Plan + FL inputs).
What I'm missing is active hockey stick that will move on flight path based on descent/climb based on ALT target. For example - I start my descent, I was asked by ATC to descent from FL150 to FL50, in the Aerosoft Airbus I was able to see on my NAV screen at which point of my flight path I'm going to level off at FL50.
In Boeings this function is provided by Altitute Range Arc where it shows arc (distance) in which you'll reach desired altitude. In airbus to my understanding it's more sophisticated and shows where at the flight path you'll reach your altitude (taking into consideration turns).
Thank you for your help

yes, i am understand what did you mean. Thanks! This aircraft cant calculate this, cause realtime vertical profile recalculation is very CPU expensive and i cant turn it on constantly. This is a code issue and i am afraid what lua-based code it not good for this. C++ is better for multithread calculation, but it will be on a340 first time for us.

Dear Mr. Romanov,
Thank you for your prompt response. Wow, A340 with new programming language (optimization? new features?) sounds like a purchase to me :-) I really love the way your plane handles, so it's a must on my list. When, even roughly, this A340 will see the light (release, even beta)?
Secondly - on one side it makes me happy to hear about A340, on the other it makes me a bit disapointed plane I just bought will never get level off predictions.
Would you reconsider adding this feature, I'm not a programmer, but the logic of such update would be based on:
Indicated Air Speed, FPM rate to calculate distance on flight path. It doesn't need to be done constanly. It can refresh every 5/10/30/60 seconds even and only under the condition FPM rate would change. It would still be such a significant support ot Pilot Managed Vertical Navigation :-)
Thank you Sir,
Łukasz
Also see a problem with cockpit night textures - instruments very dark and turned up to full brightness.
Have the same problem too! But only when it's evening outside the ac. During daytime, all is good!
wow an A340! looking forward to it. definitely a buy for me.
Im currently on a 7 hour from Dubai to Heathrow. First time i've flown it. I'm cruising at FL380 and I'm getting harassed with approach readouts.
'Terrain terrain' 'Pull up' 'Glide Slope' 'Too low, gear' 'Too Low, Flaps'
It won't stop and it's happened twice so far in the flight. It's been doing it for about 20 mins now.. and I still have 4 hours of flying left!

May be you just click GPWS test button?

is it a343, a345 or a346? i hope its not a343 or a342.
Hi JARDesign Group and to all others,
I have been getting alot of CTD with the A330 V2.0R1 on different scenarios.
Filling out the FMC route then adding ZFW then block i get CTD.
Filling out ZFW, block then add route CTD ( if changing SID or STAR more then one time)
Other times it is in-route to a destination selecting STAR to insert into FMC all values of speeds and altitude change to blank ( no values presented )
[SASL ERROR] Error updating avionics: not enough memory
[SASL ERROR] Error drawing panel: not enough memory
Please see logs
Best,
Brian Lopes
