Topic: Hotkey for GND Handling
Would be nice to have an hotkey for the GND Handling menu. It´s very strange to visit every time the plugin menu. not really funny.
Tugmaster with F8 is very fine and fast to use.

Will think about this!
That would be a very nice feature. Even better would be a x-plane command which we can bind to any key we want.
best regards and many thanks for this great plugin,
Sebastian
I support this request. A configurable hotkey would be very nice.
Same request from my side:

I think we need a new user interface for all options of the great Jardesign planes. (Whole X-plane simulator need this)
Still waiting for a command for the Ground Handling Control Panel that one can bind to a custom key.
It is annoying to always open that via the X-Plane menu.
Thanks and Cheers,
joomie
A very small .lua script would do the trick too...
Maybe a way to disconnect and connect the ground handling cars trough the MCDU (FMC). If this is possible.

Do you know the according datarefs (are they accessible?)?
+1 I would absolutely like to see some available keybings as well, especially for the "Control panel" window.
edit: Hm, I see the OP is already almost a year old. Come on, how hard is to add a couple of keybinds ?
Yes, I also really hope to see an X-Plane command which one can bind to a key/ button for the overhead panel! :-)

Have you tried DatarefTool or Dataref Editor?
Send me a PM with what you want to do and I can give you the lua. I may already have it.

I don't think there is any dataref capable of interacting with internal workings of a plugin (ie. show/hide certain plugin window). At least not according to the official dataref documentation. I'm not sure if plugins can even establish their own public datarefs. As far as I know datarefs are public variables for interacting with xplane engine. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I'd certainly be happy if a simple lua script was capable of this. Creating custom keybind is of course not a problem in LUA (and it's not even a problem for plugins either, simple matter of registering the hotkey and a callback function).

Well, there is a custom dataref for the GPU (sim/custom/xap/elec/gpu_here) and one for External Power (sim/custom/xap/elec/gpu_on) that allow me to connect and disconnect the GPU and turn on/off external power with a button on my TM Cougar MFD using a small FWL function.
You can find some lua support files here:

Yes, they are from the A320 and they control whether the GPU is visible and the external power is on. Isn't that what you wanted to do?
If not, then I'm sorry, I misunderstood.
