Topic: So What exactly does X-Life Do?

Hello Gang and greetings.

On the fence at the moment prior to making the decision to purchase X-Life.  I am not clear on what X-Life does......if I understood correctly, this program replaces the default X-Plane10 ATC system (which is a good thing), but I start getting lost on the AI management part.  Does this product interact with myself and my aircraft as well as manage AI aircraft a la Microsoft FSX?  If this is the case, are we required to have external programs such as World Traffic in order to enable the AI world before X-Life can take over and control them?  Or with X-Life do we create the airport files (kind of like AFCADs in FSX), and X-Life can provide and manage the AI world?  With X-Life, where do the AI aircraft models and repaints come from?  Confusing....................Can someone be so kind as to explain?

X-Life does indeed replace XP ATC in a fantastic manner. It also generates ground and air AI traffic. No additional files needed except there need to be ATC Taxi Routes (which can be made in WED rather easily) for the airports (departure and arrival). My understanding is that the AI aircraft are sampled from public scenery libraries. The product is young but developing at an excellent pace.

I wholeheartedly recommend getting X-Life. It is a game changer for X-Plane! You will see.

If Scenery creator, creates  ATC Traffic while he/she creating scenery in WED, you will have traffic.

For example, i have created  scenery for gateway (for default xplane it will come with next patch), you will have traffic with it. So solution is easy,  a little bit more time spend on scenery creation and you have traffic big_smile

Better way - look yourself -download X-Life traffic freeware, install and start to use.

Are you guys still requiring that an airport be upload to your servers before it can be used in x-life.

It can be used without and working as you wish - it's just not verified by JARDesign as long it is not on their servers.
