Topic: X-Life framerate dropping

Hello together,

I have problems with my frame rate using x-life.

I experienced the following data (all with the same airplane (Cessna), same airport, same settings for wheather (CAVOK), grafics, monitor setting, etc.):
fps without x-life:                35-45
fps with x-life version 2.2r1:    11-12
fps with x-life version 2.2r2:    11-12
This framerate drop with x-life is threatening.
I looked for my ressources (task manager data):
x-plane with x-life took     30 % of the CPU,   5 GB RAM,  30 % GPU.
x-plane without x-life took 41 % of the CPU,  5 GB RAM,   30 % GPU.

And here are my system data:
Windows 10 Home 64 bit, 32 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3,5 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB onboard RAM

What can be done to avoid framerate dropping to 25 %?

Thanks for any proposals and help.

Kind regards
Horst

Re: X-Life framerate dropping

Hello,

I am facing the same problem: as soon as I start X-life the fps is reduced to 20 from 60!
I believe there is an issue here.

Windows 10 Home 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 with 4 GB onboard RAM

I have been searching the whole for an answer on this forum but none of the suggestions gave good results

I can accept an fps drop by 5, but not by 40!

Kr,
Johan
