Topic: problem during approach

I activated the loc and appr about 3000ft, and activated AT and set approach speed as the MCDU demonstrated(136kt). About 500ft, I disengaged AP, as soon as I did so, the nose of the aircraft raised rapidly about 35 degrees so I have to gave up landing with ils and landed completely mannually. Can anyone help me with the problem? thanks a lot!

Re: problem during approach

The ILS approach is only performed in poor visibility and weather conditions.
Normally, at 1500 feet, the AP shuts down and lands the FP  the plane.
The reason is that the AP does not react fast enough on final approach when, for example, changing crosswinds, etc.
The landing carried out by pilots is always the safest landing.
If you turn off AP then you are responsible as a pilot for taxes.
That should be practiced again and again.

Re: problem during approach

euroking2018, I honestly disagree.

The autopilot should be easily able to react to most of the environmental conditions, otherwise it would not have been certified.
The automatic A/P disconnect is dependant on the setting of the minimum in the MCDU. And disconnected manually, it should do so gracefully, i.e. not in an out-of-trim condition.
On the Lockheed Tristar, below a certain height, in order to fulfil the failsafe-Criterium, the aircraft was automatically trimmed nose-up, so in a A/P-Disconnect-case, the nose went up. But this is not the case on the A330.
If you have such a behaviour, it's a bug.
