Topic: WED for beginners

Dear Forum,

So I'm trying to adapt the original X-Life KMIA.dat file in the AIRPORTS folder to suit my own version of KMIA.

I open a new scenery folder in WED and load the KMIA.dat file. So far so good I can see the custom work fine and understand how to manipulate the taxi routes and aircraft placement.

After I make my changes I try to EXPORT the apt.dat file (to replace the old one) and I'm give a number of error messages regarding the placements of things I don't understand yet. I originally thought I must have made those changes in error but I'm unable to even EXPORT an unedited version of the KMIA.dat file from X-Life (the one that is supposed to be verified).

All I'm doing is importing and NOT touching anything but I'm unable to EXPORT without fixing a bunch of things I'm not yet up to speed on.

Why is this and how do I get around it?

Wich version off WED do you use for editing your dat files.
Use version 141r1 ,all above is not working for me ,ore i suppose not supported.
