This is obviously wrong; it passes VEBIT twice and makes a large circle increasing the distance of 124 miles by more than 50 miles. You can see the circle in the a330 display.

Trying, nut not get this wrong.

Please check FCOM about approach phase activation conditions. If you are not in NAV mode - automatic activation will not happen. And so on..

About 1 - yes, i agree. What was first attempt to tune engines using new Laminars engines setup. It is not perfect. Prev laminars setup was much better, but not this time. I will back to this issue just after release of XP11, cause it is very time-cost job and no reason spend a week every time when Laminars decide try another setup. Will wait final setup.

About 2 - not understand what wrong exactly.. sorry

Just finished another test flight:

1. Cannot choose liveries only default A330 ...  ? Who knows why?

2. Descending after TD with headwind 37kn: I have to deploy speedbrakes to avoid rising speed

3. GS with 9kn headwind and the aircraft is shaking extremely (MCDU shake is off)

4. Maybe I wasn't clear enough: before touchdown I tried to flare but instead to slow down aircraft ascends ...

during approach to HEBA airport and after activating approach phase manually overhead the airport to reduce speed to 210, xplane 11 freeze for 10 seconds then found the aircraft on some dirt runway on ground with aircraft in cold and dark state

LEMG - GCFV, A330b8, XP11, XL, FMcar

This time a nearly perfect flight.

1. FMcar not activated after ATC order
2. After disabling AP before landing at 1200ft, aircraft pitched abruptly (known problem that occurred occasionally)

Airport sceneries are great !

Hi,
I'm on XP11b 15 and A330 B8

I made two long haul flight. The first one went through without any issues. However, the second one during approach phase to LAX with wind variable at 3 and few clouds below 2000ft A330 experienced some problem with directional stability with autopilot and consequently during manual flying to landing.

Don't get me wrong it was fun land since it reminded me approach with gusting winds >30kts+ and windshear, but for calm wind without no AIRMET  TANGO or any SIG's it was a bit odd behavior. I haven't experienced anything like that in B7

Same experience, but JAR wrote that he want to wait with adjustments until XP11 final (and I can understand it because it takes a lot of time and work...)

Your thrust is idle? If yes, that could be due to the new thrust model in XP...

Yes I understand that. But it just odd because in previous A330 beta  directional control was just fine

Did a quick test flight with the latest A330b8 from KSAN to KSFO. Pretty perfect flight although I needed a lot of speed brake on descent. Only small trouble was nose wheel steering, where I had some issues but that is most certainly a XP11 issue or my setup. Need to check calibration. In summary, though, the aircraft works perfectly in XP11pb15.

Glad to see you on SIERRA and that it works well as on my iMac. Since we have same hardware configuration, we will possibly get often same flighttest results. As I mention in an earlier post, I also experienced speed problems during descending and was forced to deploy speedbrakes although flying with headwinds. In case of stronger tailwinds even full speedbrakes didn't work and I had to level aircraft, reduce speed, and then continue descending ....

Yes, descent has been the only bother but manageable so far. LR are still fiddling with the flight model for XP11 so I am not worried. No point to adapt the airplane to every interim change LR are making. After XP11 is final the A320/330 will be so awesome!

I'm having problems with the autopilot.
It keeps disconnecting and I cannot get it to stay on !
This is true for both the 330 and 320 running XP11pb15

About 2: It happened with me as well, with AP disconnected and A/THR switched off I could not set the throttle to idle, it was increasing so I could not land the plane.

Look at the LNAV path line smile What can cause this? At the end it caused no problem, the plane has just flown over it and continue.. But later I had issues with the spoilers and ILS

Test flight LFPO - EDDM A330b8

1. All in all it seems to be that this version is pretty stable. But it require the adjustment of aircraft reaction to engage AP during TO and disengage AP during landing (pitch problem in the two cases)

2. Another main problem is the behavior of the A330 during descent. I saw some videos of real flights and there was no need to deploy speedbrakes during descend although flying with tailwinds >50kt. Descending with our model in tailwind situation required every time the use of speedbrakes and often this is not enough effective for holding speed (not to talk about trying to reduce descending speed).

to avoid this situation (until JAR adjustments) I am reducing speed to 280kn before reaching the TOD and beginning with the descent >10nm before TOD to have a more flat descending path. This steps plus half speedbrakes deployed enabled holding speed during descending to FL100. If I have then to made a sharp turn to runway I continue to reduce speed to 210kn and then fly the approach with flaps1 until the red deceleration point......

has anyone had a problem with soundpack 2.01 ? CUSTOM SOUNDPACK (TRENT700)?
I have installed it exactly as is and the ini file cannot read the engine wav files for some odd reason?
