Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Thanks for the hotfix JAR it's working well. I was wondering if you could possibly look at the issues the A320 & A330 FMGS is having when using the FPLN page with AirFMC? I would love to be able to use this with the 320 as I'm sure many others would to help make it more immersive.

Thanks again for the hard work, it's appreciated!

Yes, I oncontact with AirFMC developer. Will try.

Please read a FAQ before you post a bug http://support.jardesign.org

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Not a huge deal, but are any of you that are using the Blue Sky Star Sound pack v1.1 for the A320 having issues hearing the APU? Everything seems to be working great, but I cannot hear the APU at all with version 2.6B4.

Anybody?

Nevermind...Figured it out. Sorry guys.

Hello! Just took this bird out on a flight after flying other aircrafts for a while. I immediately got an error during climb online with controllers. Just after takeoff I was asked to go DIRECT TO the last waypoint of the SID. The last point of the SID was _after_ the T/C pseudo waypoint. This immediately resulted in the plane not following the LNAV route at all, rather deviating on a 30-45 degree off set to the left.

This has happened to me many times before. If I shuffle around on the waypoints around a pseudo waypoint (T/D, T/C, 250/lim etc.) I often get into trouble and the plane won't follow the LNAV. Yesterday I fixed this by going DCT to the waypoint just before the T/C, so that the plane would "go through" the T/C. This fixed it and the plane followed the LNAV as intended from there out.

Is this an acknowledged error? Any plans to fix this, if it is possible to fix?

Thank you for a great airplane! Its still my favorite smile But it is quite often messing up my online flying as I often get "DCT TO" commands from traffic controllers...

just a few posts back...

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Sometimes the Aircraft doesn't brake after landing. It reduces the speed to approximately 80 knots and then it continoues this speed. The brake button (b) doesn't work. By the way, I have this issue in v2.5, too.
I guess it happens, if I had a harder landing.

AirFMC doesn't work as mentioned above.

Why doesn't appear a maximum speed bar on cruise? Thanks for all http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1072/t/p1ab41hi341fgc1nfp1sa5pjd1hvp3.png http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1072/t … coupb3.png

Hi domined39aniello,

I'ts (I think) a known bug. The maximum speed bar does not take into account the 'crossover' altitude, at which Mmo (0.82) becomes less than Vmo=350kias. (it’s around 24600ft in ISA conditions, according to FCOM). The maximum speed bar stays at 350Kias, and at FL310 like your screenshot, its equivalent to Mach 0.93, so clearly wrong; the maximum speed bar should be around 306kias (M0.82 at FL3100≈306kias).

http://jardesign.org/forum/img/m/1858/t/p1ab564d88nad1pcdmbsgptamk3.png

There is also a bug with the minimum speed bar, that instead of slightly increase with altitude, it clearly decreases above FL200. It’s reported here http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1583

Both bugs together have the ‘funny’ effect of instead of ‘narrowing’ the ‘coffin corner’ they expand it! ;-)
Would be nice both to be corrected although.

But as many say, really nice product!

Salute!

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I did a couple of flights today and approaching EGLL on a BIG4B arrival I input the route as standard and chose the BIG vor as the via. This is the result which sends the route miles away but choosing the approach without the via doesn't follow the correct procedure either as per the charts.

The image below is the first part of the STAR passing ALESO, ROTNO, EVTAX, TIGER, the SLP point, BIG and 9 dme BIG but should turn right to 093 deg as per the chart below.

BIG4B

BIG approach to ILS rwy 27R
BIGto27R

This second FMGS image shows the crazy divert over 140nm away with the pseudo-waypoints along the way. I tried editing the waypoints and pseudo-waypoints to get some accuracy but no joy.

BIG4B-1

Is this a known issue with the FMGS of the A320neo? Or is there something I can do about it as it's quite difficult to fly selected headings constantly whilst glancing to the FMGS to change the VOR course e.t.c. I fly regularly in and out of EGLL and it's probably going to be a well-used STAR

----edit----

I loaded the same app into FF777 and the STAR displays accurately so definitely an FMGS issue with the 320

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Can also report g/s not capturing. Passing through g/s for rw 27L EGLL app was armed with LOD captured but g/s would not. Nav radio in manual and not too sure if appr mode was activated as I was being vectored

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Has anybody checked to see if the master warn and caution buttons are working. Just had an audible alert and couldnt clear. Buttons dont seem to exist!!
No finger or hand pointer appears when hovering over these buttons.

Good day,
Could your radios be configured right? //* turn on radios, green light should be displaying on the right frequency also. like "Auto tune the Radios" and I am not making fun of you this is some tricky stuff ...

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi Capt,

I was correctly tuned to the ILS frequency, had the LOC captured and G/S armed whilst following the PFD ILS indicators it just didn't capture the G/S. I will try in future to ensure that the radios are in auto mode even after inputting my own VOR Freqs & Course.

The ILS doesn't bother me as much as being diverted 270nm on approach as I could just hand fly from the FAF.

Thanks for your help

ILS G/S is captured if you hit the path from the downside only.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Someone had mentioned that to me on the .org and I believe it's true. Whilst online ATC vectors you and manages you to bring you down onto the g/s and it's very hard to get low enough before capture.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi !

That's a nice little and old bug.

The problem is that the master warn and caution buttons are somehow connected to the engines.
So if you accidently run into that problem, start the engines. After engines start, the buttons are working :-)
and you can switch off the alert.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi, I don't know whether this is a task in hand, but the constraints are not showing on my navigation display. The route shows with the waypoints, but as I say no constraints.
Not sure on this one, but with ADF's set I don't see any distances or much needle movement. I'll make further checks on this.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Good day,
when I have an Issue like this I re-start the computer, and then re-start XP and make sure I get a clean start all the way from the ==G== green light so, to speak and then see what happens. also along the way take not of everything I do so i can track down what is causing the issue we must start somewhere.
Your friend,

Hi, I tried again with a clean start into X Plane, still no constraints showing. Having said that I have noticed the on images sent in by others on the forum showing routes on navigation displays constraints were not showing on theirs ether.

Re: ver 2.6 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

I have uninstalled the hot fix because it caused too many issues:

1) The crossover altitude was reduced to 24,000 which puts pressure on the speed reduction schedule before turning onto finals. The amount of time to get the aircraft slowed down to Flaps 3 speed is much less. I preferred the old crossover altitude.

2) The speed upper and lower limit indicators are not being repositioned after reaching Flaps 1 speed. Without going to manual speed, you cannot get the airspeed down to engage Flaps 2 except by selecting Flaps 2 and accepting the over speed warning from the FO which then forces the Min/Max speed indicators to be updated.

Neither of these issues are present in the JAR A330...
