I was on the HAROB4 SID out of KSEA16C. I was climbing out. I tried to insert the waypoint ENVIE (not part of SID) just before the waypoint MLBEC, which is the transition for the STAR BDEGA1 into KSFO28R. Navdata cycle was 1506 r1 by Navigraph.

Good day,
Navigraph has had a second up-date on the 1506 version should be [1506r2] to be the right cycle ...

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Good day. A few day ago I found small problem with visual model. We can found small twinkling black points in some zones (extreme texture res).
It is because of using NML. It happens, when in model region use less than 1px on texture. I suggest you retexturing this zones on visual model.
I show this regions on screens, may be u will be able to detect more.

Regards, Leontyev.S.S

Hi TDPlane, I'm using Navigraph 1506r2 and am trying to recreate your problem flight. You didn't say exactly what the en-route portion of your flight was using, so I just had a guess.

KSEA(Rwy16C)  HAROB4(SID)  ERAVE Q1 ENVIE DCT MLBEC BDEGA1(STAR) KSFO(Rwy28R).

While I was still on the ground at KSEA reviewing the route with the ND set to PLAN and 80nm, the FMGS set to F-PLAN page and clicking on the Up and Down ARROW to scroll through the route. I noticed magenta writing appearing on different parts of the panel (it only stayed there a few seconds then disappeared). See screenshots.

Maybe it was ment to be a screen reflection? But shortly after this the ND  "froze" again like happened in my post #10

A quick video to show that somethings still work, but the mode and range cannon be changed.

Sat in the middle of the field with servere thunderstorms, heavy rain.
Didn't need lighting in the cockpit it was that strong.

Radar on, range set at 20 miles, knobs turned auto/strong, level to high beam.
Before the beta it worked fine for me no problem.

For me it's working fine instead. Remember to set the wx switch on.

Checked switch 6 times definitely on.....
Just reloaded with rain pouring down the windscreen, made sure all radar settings correct and also the range 20
No sign of any weather indications.
Switched plane to the 2.3r4 all the same settings precisely.. Weather shows as it should, surrounded in green patches..
Switched back to new beta 2.4b4 "exactly" same settings and no green patches at all and the rain was still pouring.

As with the last stable version, I still have a fairly violent nodding action going on... It makes it almost impossible, even when using AUTOLAND, the plane nodded up and down, sometimes so badly that the AP disconnects by itself...

Others with this problem?

I can confirm that with b4 I am missing F/S speeds on takeoff and approach. Only green dot displays and this is only when clean smile

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Hi everyone,

I noticed a thing which bugs me a little. When applying roll to the ailerons and going back to neutral they swing a few times before being in the neutral position again. Another thing is that they vibrate even without giving any input. There was no turbulence, no wind and no input from my joystick. For reference, you can see the joystick input values at the top left. I have two videos loading up right now to give you a better view of what I'm talking about. I experience the same with the A330. So I guess it has something to with the FBW plugin. It was not there in the old A320neo V2.3. My fps are 30. Xplane stability settings are set to zero. I'm running xplane 10.35 on windows 8.1.
Anybody noticed the same?

41

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Yes, it is a common "feature". Hope, will fix it. 2.3 not have this, course have another FBW module.

Please read a FAQ before you post a bug http://support.jardesign.org

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Last time I flew with an a320 i noticed, that the speed-brakes (spoiler in air) look like the photo I have made.
Maybe you could design them like this too in JAR a320neo! smile

Maybe the pilot did just extend half way?

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

I mean that not every spoiler is at the same angle.

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

I am running the 2.4B4 now since the stable release got me CTDs in every flight. This one now seems pretty stable and I like the new features very much.

Although I got some issues, even tho I dont know if they really are issues:

- If I remove the pins and covers by releasing and pushing parking brake, I cannot set external power again.

- Here's another strange behavior: Route: EDDK SID PODIP Y867 WRB UM864 TOLGI/N0442F360 Z90 DLE/N0445F370 T207 BATEL STAR EDDT

before reaching top of climb i inserted the STAR and the autopilot plotted a new course. the plane flew not along this track. i tried DCT to the first waypoint of the STAR, but it flew a left turn again. (Screenshot)

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

If I am inside a preference page (e.g. Resolution), and exit to cockpit, more often than not the plane violently rolls either left or right, sometimes roll to 90 degrees... No wonder the passengers are screaming...

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Good day,
Try to "pause" ["P" key] the simulator before you go to make the adjustment and this will not happen, then after you are done making the adjustment un-pause the simulator.
Nevertheless, I have had this happen but I did not see it as a big thing ... if you can pause the simulator when making an adjustment in the resolution or other major adjustments where you leave the main view.
I do not have this issue on this issue of the aircraft but I have had it...
since, you are running the simulator maybe after, you re-start the simulator it will fix it's self.

Good day,
Since, the only thing you have to do is go to your "weather settings" and set the environment/weather/storms/moderate ; then you will have the green ghost [radar return] on your screen on the ND you are looking for but be warned that flying in this weather can be dangerous and you must take care when flying into a thunderstorm. smile

May be, you set hi altitude via alt button first.

I have weather refer worked at 20NM.

Yes, I do. Hasn't bothered me but it'd be nice to have! Flew thru t-storms several times and nada green ghost. Have radar on, set to 20 or 40.
Maybe there's something else I/we must do?
(i posted a video here in the video section of this beta landing at KMIA in stormy weather. Notice there are no green ghosts on the screen)

Re: ver 2.4 beta 4 WIN/MAC 64 bit

Update on "my" weather display.
After many flights and no settings changed.
Todays flight I had to skirt around / thru a severe thunderstorm, turned the range down to 20 and the weather display was very active. (1st time showing with 2.4b4)
Continued my descent to destination and went thru several more rain squalls with rain pouring onto the windscreens, weather did not show any precipitation on the radar at all.

Very much appreciate being able now to clear last entry when inserting data in MCDU.
