Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

Good day,
I have asked for log.txt and bbox.txt so we can help with the issues this is Beta testing and for the new people that have now posted with issues here you must post log.txt and bbox.txt not a request but a must during beta testing this is why you have a 50% discount on the product.
Thank-you

Good day,
yes I will as soon as I get to my other computer I was at the VA today and just getting to my computer .

I will post the screenshot of the file tree.

I would really like to buy this product, but first I have a few question.

1. Does ATC use speech recognition and can I use my IVONA voices for it?
2. Why only TCAS planes for atc. Will we ever get an ATC for all panes? This one is the one that is preventing me from buying it since I mostly fly the 737 200.

I would also like to thank you for the free traffic plugin.

What kind of an answer is that. All I'm asking is why doesn't the atc expand to other planes. Is there some sory of a limitation. I can't see the sense in this design decision.

First:

This is the true answer! If you seriously ponder whether you spend $ 10 or not, then this mean - the 10 dollars is too important for you may be. If so, In this case - certainly in your life there are more important things that you really need. For example - the food. Or some other.. I dont know. May be you need just use freeware version. Please think about this and Please do not make mistakes.

Second:

And more, please. When you ask like this:
Why only TCAS planes for atc.

or this
Will we ever get an ATC for all panes?

or this:
why doesn't the atc expand to other planes

Nobody understand you and what did you mean. I am not understand absolutely. Atc work with any user aircraft type. What limitation you talk about? What about TCAS did you mean? Why you talk about TCAS at all? If you prefer not see traffic around you in hard weather - your choice. May be you mean transponder? Yes, it need. But you say nothing about transponder.. May be you mean Flightplan export function for other aircraft? But you say nothing about Flightplan.. Ok, stop. I find it hard to spend a lot of time solving your puzzles. I guess I need to buy a textbook in English, because I have ceased to understand sometimes. I'll be back soon.

Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

I was comparing various sceneries on X-Life and noticed that KATL has a higher traffic volume than all of the other airports. Is it a different airport file or something causing this high density? I would like KORD or KMIA to have this much density.
Thanks

Air traffic density depend of airways density (number of ATC-points per km2) and power of user computer. But that picture - is WOW!

Is it possible to have the density at Kord like that? I am running i7 4790k @4.5ghz gtx 790. At Katl i have 3 runways departing and landing at the same time. Is that possible at another airport?

X-Life take in account not the "runways number" but  "independent runways number". So - crossing runway give you less traffic then parallel runways. I cant answer exact, cause XL is designed in such a way as if it is inside a living organism.

When I start X-Life the routes are created however no planes taxi to the runway.  I have included the logfile.

I see a lot of errors:

Good day,

0:03:10.308 E/SYS: | There was a problem loading the scenery package:
0:03:10.308 E/SYS: | Custom Scenery/KORD-Chicago-HD-Nimbus Simulation/
0:03:10.308 E/SYS: | The scenery may not look correct.
0:03:10.308 E/SYS: | Please see the log.txt file for detailed error information.
0:03:10.308 E/SYS: | (io_dsf.cpp:694)
0:03:10.308 E/SYS: +-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So this can be fixed go to the place webpage where, you downloaded the scenery and check which libraries you need and make sure you have everything for this airport ;

Failed to find resource 'test/AGtrees_test.for', referenced from file 'Resources/default scenery/airport scenery/Modern_Airports/Control_Towers/'.

then you were cleared so all you needed to do was call Ground and get clearance to Start and pushback...
and you would be on your way...

Hello JAR, on your BETA version that was just released yesterday, when you install it, and register it, the side bar menu (with green icons) on the right side of the screen has dissapeared, is this intentionaly or is it a glitch?  thanks

Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

Hello,

by testing with x-life, I realized that every xlife session
aircraft with the same delivered to the same location in the sky also are always the same. (The day after turning off my PC sequencing has not changed.)
Should at each session the selection planes is done randomly.

Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

oops, this is by moving the cursor to "air traffic density" I found my solution.
cursor which I had not touched.
Another thing, when the aircraft (AI) are too long or too short landings,
I change the length of the track as far as possible. is this the solution?
Thank you

if you use bluebell pack, you can tune landing and takeoff run length (meters) for every aircraft, but what aircraft have wrong parameters, please?

Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

Yes, I have already changed some settings had "bluebell".
What I speak of is the point touched wheels as if the plane landed too long,
it may abut end of the runway and ... bug! ..
El lengthening one end of the track "xlife" I partially corrects the problem.
Then of course, if we change the txt file of the plane, landing a  B777 few 1000 meters but it is not very realistic.

Re: X-Life ver 1.0 (rc1, r1, ++)

Hi Guys,

I have a question:

How does X-Life decide which airport to populate? Of course it creates traffic at my current position. But what does it take to have it automatically create traffic on other airports? Is it enough to file a flightplan to get traffic at my destination? Or do i have to actually follow ATC to achieve that? And what is with the airports en route? Like if i pass a very big airport right after takeoff, is there a way to get that one populated too?

Cheers

Chris

Denco wrote:

can I use my IVONA voices for it?

I can confirm IVONA voices work (which is great). I'm using IVONA's Sally and I'm pretty happy with it. X-Life seems to use the default TTS engine you have selected in Windows so when you have selected IVONA it will use that instead of the awful default Anna voice. Great thing is that IVONA actually properly pronounces the airport names and so on and does not spell it out letter by letter like Anna.
