Exactly, it works for me, too (and it's great), but as I wrote on page 5 you might need to ACTIVATE the plugin in X-Planes Plugin-Menu.

I'm running XP11.

hi bss sound pack is not a plugin !!
it's a sound package replacing original sound...
doesn't need to activate  ;-)

But you need to activate JAR Sound Engine 1D and 2D to hear your FO and your cab crew. At least in my sim, its deactivated by default.

for me it is activated by default as you can see in pictures
no need supplementary action

and bss sound pack are contained in sound3d plugin folder !!

Hello all,

Sorry if the question has been already asked, but cannot find any answer.

I have installed A330 v2.2R3 on xplane 11.11r2 (build 111101 64-bit) and all seem going fine except when I try to start engines (starting from cold and dark - apu running, before start checklist complete ...).
Copilot says starting engine x but nothing happens.

I have tried to disable some plugins like Gizmo, betterpushback, ... but impossible to resolve this issue.

Have you ever heard about this problem ?

But yes it was verified - fuel pomps on but no start.

Today, retry complete procedure from cold & dark and it is OK !! like yesterday but after a last total reinstallation...
Don't understand what has gone wrong before.

Hi
I am fairly new to X Plane. I am having severe problems with sounds on the A330. Everything starts OK but at various points I lose engine sounds, all internal sound (no FO, flight crew, no altitude call out when landing, no retard) etc.

The sound of "rushing air" is there and X Life ATC. (Is ATIS info spoken? I never hear anything but have heard speech on Youtube videos).

It may happen during the flight or even when still on the ground. It happens every time I try to fly the A330!

I have also recently had the engine 2 cut out problem too.

Can anyone help please before I give up and go back to the stock B737. Log attached for last attempt...sound gone while setting up at gate!

hello satch10 you have to wait for the new version of A330 V3 some bugs with Xplan 11.11 normally all the bugs will be resolved

The problem has got worse...maybe after the X plane 11.11 update. However, it could be a long time until A330 v3 is released! And will it cure this particular problem?

Just tried another flight. I did not switch on X Life traffic (Deluxe) as another test. However, lost sounds again while still on the ground!

Please excuse my lack of knowledge!

I'm not sure which revision of 330v2.2 it is. How do I find it?

Plugins are BSS soundpack, Autogate, Better Pushback, X Life Deluxe, FMCar, Ground Handling (free version), XSaitekpanels.

(The Saitek Multipanel does not work with the A330). Navigraph Simlink is also in the plugins folder.

Again, I do not know how to find the exact version and revision of the plugins.

Hi

I just removed the xsaitekpanels and Better pushback plugins. Did a hot start (to save time LOL). All was well until I was programming the MCDU......then the sound disappeared, so I quit the program.

@ enrigolan79, I thought that you had given me the answer because I was running r2. So I downloaded r3. However I got exactly the same problem. Sound OK but after about 5 minutes the sounds were gone. (I didn't install the BSS pack).

Well....sorry to say that the problem still exists. I'm losing all hope.

Again, the sound disappeared on the ground after a short time.

0:15:23.629 E/FMOD: C:\jenkins\design-triggered\source_code\engine\sound\soun_fmod.cpp(172): FMOD error 51 - Error initializing output device.

This line seems to crop up (not every time) in the log.txt at the point where sound is lost. I have no idea what it means but the directory "jenkins" does not exist!

I've spent the last few hours going through everything. As far as I can see, everything is up to date. I've had several attempts to start a flight......all with the same result. Initially all sounds are heard. Then, after e.g. starting to enter something in the mcdu or switching something on or off, or even changing view, the sounds instantly switch off with no way of recovering them. I am left with audio from X Life ATC and wind noise (if I bother to continue).

There may be a red SASL message when it happens, though I don't have time to read it. My frame rate is around 50 fps though there is an occasional "glitch". Could that be the cause?

Re the FMOD error 51. I use an external audio interface with ASIO drivers. Could that have anything to do with the problem?

Does JAR look into any of these forum problems?

On this occasion, sound lost when I clicked to send X Life flight plan to mcdu.
