I have just now purchased the Deluxe version.
I need a detailed tutorial. Is there one available?.
i dont know how to assign my keyboard for different replies
Can the radio frequencies automatically tuned as required by ATC?

All this covered by XLIFE_v4_manual.pdf file what is already included into your ZIP pack.
I just tried to show an alternative airport as DAAE, it stated that it was a registered airport, but it's shown on your airports map.

i have just bought x-life and its not in plugins i have installed opensceneryx. i have installed x life in the plugin folder as instructed. started xplane opened a flight and opened plugins but its not in there. i have xplane 11.55

This may happen if installation in not correct (usually user may put plugin to "additional" folder after unZIP distributive). As result, instead of correct path, like (as example - for win.xpl file):
../X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/X-Life/win.xpl
user may have wrong path with additional folder like:
../X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/SomeAdditionalFolderName/X-Life/win.xpl
Please check this first!

after start from x-life , the display shows airac caycle 2012 or something….
its possible to get same airac caycle on x life like fms ? … or is it possible to manually update it ?

As you can read in manual:
X-Life use NavData cycle by Aerosoft from own /navdata/ subfolder or (preferable) from ../ X-PLANE/Custom Data/GNS430/navdata/ folder if exist If you need update your cycle, please use Aerosoft/Navigraph “JARDesign a320/330/X-LIFE Native format” and put new cycle to ../X-PLANE/Custom Data/GNS430/navdata/ folder create ../X-PLANE/Custom Data/GNS430/ folder before (if not exist)

Understand. If so - need just check Log. Please send me (to www.support.jardesign.org ) a Log.txt file from X-Plane folder saved just after start X-Plane and load any aircraft - I will check and inform you.

Yes, you may switch this off with show aircraft(s) lables, if I remember this well.
Has something changed recently, why do I have to sign into Google to be able to view airport maps, never had to before.
EKBI is showing as incompatible in X-Life if you try and fly there, but it's clearly shown on the airports map.
Hi Jar, yes that worked, but the labels have to be turned off before landing. Once they are there it does not work.

Flight from eddw to ekch got an airport not compatible message, why is that as both airports are on your airports map?
I have an issue where when I setup at the gate in the United States and then start X-Life, I get unrealistic airlines populating across the airport. I'm talking Ryan Air 737s, Easy Jet A320s etc at PHL. I used to get the American airliners that you'd expect to see there so it seems that something has changed for me but after a day attempting to resolve the problem myself I'm unable to sort it. Anybody else come across this? Cheers
Best way for this issue - install BluebellXL library. This library have many aircraft types and liveries. If you prefer use “Bluebell XL” traffic AI library, please download 3 files from

Next unZIP and put “Bluebell XL” folder to ../X-PLANE 10/Custom Data/ folder and install folders “PackA”, “PackB”, “PackG”, “PackJ”, “PackP” to ../X-PLANE 10/Custom Data/Bluebell XL/ folder
Thanks for responding so quickly. I should've explained in my original post but this issue is happening even with the Bluebell files installed as you've explained there. It's a strange one because everything was working perfectly only a week ago. I defragged my PC a couple of days ago and chose an option to free space and wondered if something got deleted in the process but when I uninstalled XLife and then reinstalled it to see if that would solve the issue, the problem remained.

Exactly as you wrote @timmeh1977 I am experiencing the same. X-Life has been working great for me for nearly 2 years now, I mean having location specific planes everywhere (e.g. BA planes on Heathrow, United and American in O'Hare, Kenya Airways in Nairobi, etc.).
Unfortunately about a week or 10 days ago, it started adding all sort of planes everywhere in the world. I have reinstalled X-Life, even trying with older versions, I have reinstalled Bluebell packages but nothing seems to solve the issue.
@J.A.Romanov can you please advise us, hwat could we do?
